The attendance point is exaggerated. While Georgia kills both NU & A&M, A&M finished 11th and Nebraska 12th in average home attendance last season.

FYI- Kyle Field will be at 102,500 when construction is finished for the 2015 season and season tickets have already sold out. It will actually be at 109K for next season.

Thanks for the update Old Style. Wasn't aware of that. I have always had a lot of respect for your program and would love to experience the 12th man in person at some point.

As long as you're not from an old Big 12 school (outside of Nebraska or maybe Iowa State) you'll most likely get treated very well in College Station. At this point I'd say wait until 2015 and see a completed stadium. Should be quite impressive at that point.

I'm surprised to hear you quantify it like that. I had always heard that A&M fans were classy on a level with Nebraska fans when it came to welcoming opposing fans. Are you saying that if I were a Baylor fan (for instance) I would be mistreated?

Maybe not "mistreated" but you certainly wouldn't be welcomed to town. Nebraska fans came to College Station with a lot of class and got treated well. I remember being pleasantly surprised the first time the Huskers came town and never had a bad experience with Nebraska fans. If you're like that, Aggies will take care of you and you'll love us.

I've been to College Station twice for football, the pre-game traditions are pretty damn cool, but the swaying of the press box is one of the most horrifying things i've ever experienced.

Well, that was fun having BSU being on the outside looking in at the Top 25. See you again in 5 years if the stars align again with the next coach

Nebraska is a better job than A&M and Georgia

I tossed those 3 back and forth, but the fact that A&M has the state of Texas and Louisiana next door to recruit from makes that a better situation in my mind. Georgia? That's debatable. Nebraska largely has to recruit nationally to be successful because there isn't a regional recruiting base to count on, then couple that with the fact that Georgia is always on national TV. Most recruits don't even know who Tom Osborne is. Not trying to bash the program. Hell, I'd love for Arkansas to be anywhere near where Nebraska is.

Have you been happy with Bielema? I'm asking because he did good thing with Wiskey but I just never cared for him. The hire was a surprise to me. You are unfortunately right about my program - 97 was a long time ago.

My opinion on Bielema before he ever coached a game was that he had damned well better win because he wasn't going to get by on personality. Then again I am a 41 year old dude and recruits seem to really like the guy. Petrino was an offensive genius, but he didn't exactly leave the cupboard full with talent. There's that, along with the fact that these same players basically gave up last season and they're switching from a pass first offense to a power football team. He gets a pass, for now. All of the playmakers on this team are underclassmen, many true freshmen.

I live in New Orleans, away from the 24/7 media blitz on the Hogs. The mouthbreathers on the radio shows are really starting to get loud, I hear.

This just shows that FSU is still not back. No way Bobby B. lets a coverup like this fail.

You know nothing about FSU football if you think the Tallahassee Police Dept. does any favors for FSU players.

Everything I'm hearing from program insiders says that there is no worry about this situation. Even the University President came out today and said that he doesn't feel the "brouhaha" is going to tarnish FSU's image. He would not comment if he didn't know 100% that Winston was clean.

If by not do any favors you mean not ignore blatant theft bar fighting and duis and janikowski I guess. Free shoes U's widespread academic fraud under bowden I guess is not technically legal but yea I'd guess fsu has a decent handke on Tallahassee police but I guess I don't actually know and neither do you.

Good to see you Stuy. How are you and Christie doing? I'm cheering for your Noles this year ... primarily because I'm so damn sick of Bama.

Let's address these one by one:

"Widespread academic fraud" - one class was discovered after the investigation.

Bar fighting - perpetrators were punished under the law in multiple cases

DUIs - perpetrators were punished under the law in multiple cases

Janikowski - TPD prosecuted, trial was held, he was found innocent

The State's Attorney, Willie Meggs, is also a bull gator (highest booster level) and the one to prosecute in many cases. He has taken low-level cases and trumped them up (Peter Warrick & Laverneous Coles) to felony-level charges for the notoriety. He has more sway at TPD than anyone at FSU does.

FSU has an image to tarnish?

He's an academic guy, and focuses more on that side - which has improved quite considerably since he was hired. FSU academics aren't as bad as their reputation, especially in certain fields, and the quality of professors has gone up considerably as well.

Doin' well, but busy as a one-armed wallpaper hanger. We were just wondering what you've been up to the other day. How are things in your world?

let's be honest, fsu cheats and probably half their players can't read, but the same could be said for almost any other top 10 team, and a crapload of teams whose illiterate, paid-off players just aren't doing as well. unless you're like northwestern or vandy it's probably silly to be pointing the finger at other programs.

Is there any doubt Pac-12 refs are the worst in football?

Myles Jack is beautiful. What a last few years for true and redshirt freshmen in college football.

Love him, just wish he could strictly play defense, since he's invaluable there as the second best defender on the team behind Barr. Crazy that UCLA starts 7 true freshmen (8 if you count the punter) and are in the top 15.

Vandy's reputation has definitely taken a hit these days, especially considering their rape scandal.

Win today and stay undefeated in the Big 12, lose and it pretty much guarantees a 4 loss season for Mack Brown and he will be gone. I'm good with both options.
