Attention Heisman voters. You can officially scratch Marcus Mariota off your ballots.

 

It's a shame he wasn't healthy today (and probably won't be again this season). He would have put up an impressive campaign and probably won it otherwise.

If that happens it would be far from wide open. It would actually be a pretty clear title game of Ohio State-Florida State.

I know the game's not over yet but it's games like this why all the talk about BCS chaos with 5 unbeaten teams in October and early November is ridiculous.

 

It's like such people have never followed college football before.

Yes, I'm aware injuries happen. All I'm saying is it's a shame it happened to Mariota because without the sprained MCL, he has a much better game, Oregon might win and keeps his Heisman candidacy going. He really is a treat to watch when healthy, just like Winston. I don't understand why you think that's funny.

For Florida to beat FSU they would have to score. I can easily see a 1-loss team in the title game, but it's probably not Florida State.

 

No, we (FSU) wouldn't be the 1-loss team in the title game, since our loss happened too late in the season. I would guess it would be Stanford based on their resume and the fact it was an early loss (always beneficial in the BCS model).

Winston is a great QB. I'm not overly impressed with Mariota, though. Even before last night. He's very good, but not great IMO.

I just feel like its generally accepted that FSU is either the best or second best team in fbs and ive watched them play a few times and am not convinced that this year's team is better than last years.

 

I think UF beats them at home. They wont be able to run split screens all game against a defense made up of all future pros. The major difference between last years UF and this year's UF is that they caught everybody at home last year.

 

They could even get upset before that.

Agreed. Florida is not winning that football game unless FSU has something like 5 turnovers and Winston gets hurt. They are so horrible that even Arkansas played with them for awhile.

Sigh.
