Why? Was this year his last year of his contract? I guess Kobe doesn't care about winning another title then.

EDIT: Well I guess he is getting a pay cut here from making like 30 mil this year after looking up his contract. Holy crap.

He'll be the highest player in the NBA the next two years. Heh.

Found this on another board. Go to NBA.com and click on a player's game log. Click on any of the individual statistics for any game (3PM, FTA, steals, blocks, etc.) and something will pop up saying watch video. Here's Paul George's game log for example:

http://stats.nba.com/playerGameLogs.html?PlayerID=202331&pageNo=1&rowsPerPage=25

Whatever statistic you select for any game, they have spliced the videos of just those plays so you can watch them in a row. So if you want to look back on whether a player took good or bad shots for example, you can look at his field goal attempts and watch all of them for a given game. This is incredible.

So apparently there were no "negotiations" with the Kobe deal, that was the FIRST OFFER from the team without Kobe offering something first or coming back with anything. Jesus.

There are two teams over .500 in the East. There are nine in the West. Phoenix is currently out of the playoffs in the West but would be the 3-seed in the East.

There are three teams with at least .500 records in the East. There are 12 in the West.

Minnesota is 9-10 and is 13th in the West. They would be the 4-seed in the East.

Yeah the East is complete ass this year. Basically everyone is playing for draft position and then the Heat-Pacers are playing for home court in the ECF. The 8 seed could honestly only have 30-33 wins. What's the worst record in NBA history for a playoff team? The Bucks and Knicks at 3-13 (worst records in East) are only 3 games back in the loss column of the 7/8 seeds.

I believe the Bulls made the playoffs with a 30-52 record during the early Jordan years. That has to be the record I would think.

How about worst record for a division champion? Toronto leads the Atlantic division with a 6-10 record, lol.

I think it's a real possibility LeBron leaves when he can. Bosh is marginalized there (and weird) and Wade is already getting the Tim Duncan treatment. Does LeBron want to go 5 more years there? Miami, outside of the Mourning years, and when Wade was young and Shaq came there for a tax break, has been an afterthought of a franchise for its existence.

I can't see Wade taking a big paycut on his next contract, and what motivation does LeBron have to stay and put up with a roster of fill-ins, a crippled Wade and Bosh?

I can't see LeBron staying unless Riley pulls a miracle out of his ass like trading Wade/Bosh in the offseason for younger good players/draft picks. If LeBron does leave, where does he go next though?

Lakers? Has to deal with Kobe, but probably his best option, it's just Kobe on the books in 2015 so they will have the space to add in the future.

Dallas? It's just Ellis basically.

76ers has a ton of space and Noel/Carter-Williams/Wroten Jr., but does he want to go to Philly? Utah is the same way.

Spurs could be a darkhorse. Splitter is the only one on the books in 2015 and the org. is so good.

Miami has been an afterthought except for like 1/3 of its existence? Who hasn't been other than the Lakers and Celtics?
