Wow. That was the worst final possession. Durant passed to Ibaka at one point and Perkins gets the bucket. Combine that with the insane KD 4pt play and Memphis just basically got very unlucky.

I don't really like Frank Vogel but I hate when stuff like this happens. When a coach exceeds all expectations with his coaching performance, then the expectations change and he fails to improve upon the new expectations and is fired. I understand there's more at play here with the second half slide, the locker room issues, etc., but I think its silly for him to be coaching for his job at this point given the success hes had the last few seasons.

Especially when you have guys like terry stotts doing a good job after he was tied in Milwaukee for not taking a shitty team from C-B. Vogel is a good coach who has gotten more out of IND than you'd expect going back to the all white pacers teams he started with.

It sucks that a team like OKC (all of the west really) gets as good of a team as Memphis in the first round while Miami won't have to play a team that good until the finals. I think there are multiple Western teams that could beat miami, but while they battle it out all playoffs, Miami gets to coast back to the finals. They are going to get the wizards in the ECF for [expletive] sake.

I am not one of the people arguing that we need to change the format or anything so that all teams are mixed up against each other. It just sucks... mostly because I hate the Heat more than I have hated any sports team in history. I know it isn't always fair, but this conference seems to be the worst example of a conference I have ever seen. At least at the beginning of the year, the pacers seemed like they could challenge. But they can't even beat a sub-.500 hawks team?
