Guys, what happened?

There was a sudden blinding flash of light and I felt like I was floating and whole and warm and now I'm just waking back up.

Meth: Not even once.

I dreamed of a brilliant-faced maid from the Riverlands, 2 meters tall, eyes of sapphire, and hair of gold. We were married, her and I.

The big stars on the d-line have been a big disappointment thus far.

That's my biggest criticism of the Bears from this game. The Bengals and Vikings both have good OLs, but the front four has just looked bad the first two weeks. The DL has combined for 1 sack and 0 TFL so far. That's not good.

Bennett said he messed up his shoulder on that OOB catch at the end of the half and he's in a lot of pain.

Marshall called Cutler "Mr. Fourth Quarter". Cutler was in the room and shouted "stop it !"

Hopefully it's just Bennett being his usual overly-descriptive self, and his shoulder isn't actually "messed up."

Actually they have 2 sacks - McClellin last week and Wootton got one today.

Peppers and Melton have been super disappointing. I thought Paea looked good both games but the rest of the starters haven't even been average.

ETA: Paea had a sack last week too.

You're right; I was looking at the wrong column on the box scores.

My point still stands.

ETA: Also, McClellin and Paea had .5 sacks apiece last week.

So that was fun. I think.

Awful and awesome and optimistic and scary, leading and trailing and Ed Hochuli lecturing and Thom Brenneman apologizing, that three-hour thing thing slipped and skidded and whipsawed and thrilled, and occasionally disappeared from the airwaves, as if the TV circuits overloaded with dangerous levels of lunacy that tripped the breakers.

If that game could speak, it would quote Leo Bloom from “The Producers.”

“I’m wet! I’m hysterical, and I’m wet!”

Ahh. ESPN had 1 for Paea, my bad.

If TB comes back and beats the Saints. Down 13-7. The Bears and winner of tonight's game will be the only 2-0 teams in the NFC.

If TB comes back and beats the Saints they should embarrassed. And the Bucs would be the worst 1-1 team in the history of the NFL.

Kyle Long : "He's so cool. I wish I was as cool as Jay Cutler."

We all do Kyle. We all do.

O God we have the greatest QB ever

LOVE IT. long was also the first guy to get to bennett after the td. i really hope kyle is a guy we have around and love for a long time.

I honestly thought Kyle Long had a season ending hamstring tear on that fumble return TD on the replay. Looked like he got shot in the back of the leg.

Yeah, I posted as much when it happened live. Thank goodness he was fine.

He was drafted in the first round as a project as a guard, he better be both of those things or he is a bust.

So how do you guys feel about the defense as a whole so far? I was worried when basically the entire coaching staff was replaced along losing Roach and Izzy (and Urlacher I guess) but was holding out hope the moves at LB would work out and the CBs would have an even somewhat similar performance from last year.

But so far the results have been mixed at best. As is often pointed out, the defensive line has been terrible rushing the passer and its affecting the entire defense. The Bears have shown spurts of competence (2nd half vs. Cin, 1st half vs. Minny) and other times when they look terrible.

I'll admit to not being a football analyst, are the Bears still running a defense similar to Lovie's, as they said they were going to? Is it really all on the D-line getting no pressure or are the other defensive units failing at times too?
