Considering going with my father (Pirates fan) and 5 year old to the last home game. Bleachers shouldn't be a problem, should they? (we want seats together, but don't know if he's actually going to come, so bleachers)

This is actually my daughter's idea. yay. Haven't been to Wrigley since the Maddux 3000 strikeout game

Are you talking the Wednesday afternoon or the Tuesday night? Either way, it should be cake to get them but they might pay you to go to the Wednesday game.

Wednesday afternoon. Actually a lot more expensive than the tickets vs the Marlins.

But, hey, your father doesn't root for a Pirates team making the playoffs all that often.

Out of (morbid) curiosity, how likely are the toilets in the mens rooms to be covered in urine? My daughter will definitely not go into the women's room alone.

Probably pretty likely.

Restrooms: Most Wrigley Field restrooms are accessible to fans in wheelchairs. Appropriate exterior signage designates these locations. Companion and/or family restrooms are located in the Upper Bleachers, in First Aid (on the main concourse behind home plate), and in the Upper Deck on the first base side.

As likely as the toilets in the women's restroom, which is very likely.

Who are these people peeing in stalls at Wrigley??

A friend of mine refuses to use the troughs. I looked at him differently when I found out.

Hello chaps

I wanted to ask your opinions on a few things if i may. Im looking to make a trip over to Chicago this year with it being Wrigley's 100th year i thought now would be a good time to go.

Im looking to go at the beginning of May as were at home to the Cards and with the Crosstown Classic it looks like a great set of games to watch but im wondering where are the best places to sit for atmosphere within the ground and also when do the tickets go on general sale as ive seen some of the prices on stubhub but i thought i would try to buy them directly from the team.

I also intend to attend the reverse fixture at Cominsky but whats the general rule about Cubs and Sox fans sitting together any agro or is it friendly?

Individual tickets went on sale March 8th last year, so you can expect something similar to be announced in February.

As for atmosphere, I think the only area where you purposefully sit for atmosphere is the bleachers. That used to be the cheap seats where young people would go drink, make out and pass out. They became a hot item and regularly sold for over $100 on secondary market during the good times. You can probably get them for free this season. If you want to sit in the sun and drink and socialize, do the bleachers. If you want to enjoy the game a bit more do the grandstands. Upper deck toward the front are probably the best value.

If the team sucks, do not expect good atmosphere. And the beginning of May could vary from freezing rain to sunny and beautiful. So be prepared.

Thanks for the advice i appreciate it.

One more question though, it says that the Ivy will start to show on the outfield wall? I seem to remember it started to show earlier than usual last year.

the ivy is actually gone now. one of the leaves blocked the view of the field from a rooftop 6 blocks away so tom had to tear it all out and replace it with a field-wide advertisement explaining why it's dumb to buy tickets to a cubs game when you can sit a mile away and pay 150 dollars for chicken wings.

What things should I consider doing while in Wrigleyville and at the park?

possibly setting it on fire would be a nice start
