One more thing...I don't think they pick and choose stupid callers as many people do...I think sports radio callers are generally that [expletive] stupid by and large and other shows just aren't willing to tell them so.

 

knowing the complete morons that insist on listening to sports talk radio despite their problems with it one can only assume the people who choose to call-in will be even dumber.

You have to admit that Aiyana's rack is pretty impressive, especially since she has a small waist. She was hired because she's nice looking and then when someone points that out, they get their panties in an uproar. If you think people would watch the Fabulous Sports Babe(Jeez..was she large) then you're delusional. You're in a male concentric field where looks matter. Goodness, Comcast has April Rose doing Champagne Lodge commercials for chrissakes. Stop yourself.

 

Yup, B&B used to rip Hub a new one for his opinions and the terrible Dick Jauron Show. Now I guess all is forgiven.

I would guess greater than 50% of people that actually call into sports talk radio have a mental illness.

I would guess greater than 50% of people that actually call into sports talk radio have a mental illness.

 

Limit it to Grobstein's audience and that probably goes up to 90%.

 

I don't have a TV in my bedroom in my new apartment, so I've been putting my alarm clock on sleep mode while listening to 670 and it's amazingly weird and fun bad.

I also like Bernstein in a limited way. He's not always right or as smart as he thinks he is, but he does better than most sports media personalities. And the bits he and Boers do are pretty funny, imo.

 

It's just the stupid "letting idiotic callers through and yelling at them" bit that is completely unlistenable. I assume it tests really well and other people love it or something, but I just turn off the radio until they're done.

again, i posit that every show lets idiotic callers through (because almost all of them are idiots) and b&b just are more willing to engage and insult.

He usually tries to blow his guests so comprehensively that I can't bear listening to it. Surprised anybody likes him in 2015. His social justice stuff is all a new creation which makes the sanctimony tough to listen to as well.

 

He works out at my gym as well. And he is impossibly small. Like he's smaller than any adult has a right to be.

Pretty much agree with everything David said. B/B are in my opinion a little harder to listen to than they were 5 years ago, but they are still the best around. I still wonder if this is the last we've heard on the story. What Dan tweeted two days ago was tame compared to what he said about Brittney Griner and a number of other women. If a few female sports blogs do their research like some said they would, the heat could get turned up.

I enjoy him. I understand perfectly well that he's largely an act. A guy that's bought into his own "character", and believes in his own self importance. But he also is very good at what he does. As a sports talk show host, he's entertaining, makes strong, opinion based arguments (though he argues those opinions are factual often times), and generally has pretty solid reasoning even as he delivers them in his "way". I'm perfectly understanding of those that dislike the show. But I'm also perfectly understanding of those that do. And clearly there's plenty that do, as B&B broke into the top 10 shows in town this year.
