I think ZzzQuil is probably more potent than weed. I took that stuff once and it was not that dissimilar to drinking Absinthe.

Yeah, it's wonderful.

I took some on an international flight and was out before they were serving dinner. Worked like a charm.

Just so you guys know its the same active ingredient as Benadryl, just marketed as a sleep aid and priced 10x higher.

I'm well aware. Walgreens sells something called "Sleep 2" which is the same thing in pill form.

Just take it with a shot of vodka.

Or to bring us back to the topic, Sake.

i like the blurb about him at the bottom of the article, where it identifies him as a lifelong cub fan and illinois resident, and then oh by the way, he's a senior majoring in creative writing at some tiny midwest bible school that nobody has ever heard of.

The pic with his bio just about says it all...

You've never heard of the college Ronald Reagan graduated from?

Is Yahoo basically like Examiner, now? Crowd sourced content? It's like they're the uncle no one likes, but you have to keep him around because he really stuck is neck out for the family back in the 90's.

The Yahoo contributor network, formerly, Associated Content, has been around for ages. I have a writers account there I don't use from 2009 or so.

Even more on topic, but equally un-newsworthy, is this terrible article from some yahoo, college kid named Brian Davis. Is the internet really this starved for content?

This same guy wrote this article previously...

For those who don't feel like reading more from this guy, he lists Tanaka as the #1 priority for the pitching staff this offseason.

He really goes out on a limb by suggesting that. LOL

If we miss out on Tanaka, I'm all for bringing Garza back. No, I don't see it as likely. Remote, at best. But he doesn't cost a draft pick and his price appears to be coming down. The Twins are wanting him on a 3 year deal and he's not connected to many teams at all.

If he can be had on an Edwin Jackson deal, I'd be for it. 3 years would be even better. That said, the bridges may be burnt, as the local guys act we've moved on and so has he.

At the right price and length of contract, sure.

because everyone is looking for some sign of life from the Cub's front office....

I was reading an Arguello article this morning, prepping us for the second half of the offseason. He prefaced it by saying the first half is generally the more exciting half....

I know I can barely contain myself, with the additions of Wright, Ruggiano, Kottaras, and Veras. Oh, and Brett Marshall.

I think the closest I came to excitement was adding Kalish and Roberts to minor league deals. Seriously, if Tanaka goes elsewhere(likely) an addition of Hammel or Baker caps off the damn offseason. I'm all about the rebuild, but [expletive]. That's a horrifically awful offseason. Worse than I thought possible honestly. Even if I do think we're a low 70's win type team currently, the activity sucks out loud.
