That's sexy.

On May 26th, Javy had played 45 games and only had 6 HR.

In the 69 games since, he has 25.

Baez's last 25 games. AA. Age 20.

.343/.421/.735/1.156 10 HR 10 2B 25.4% K 10.5% BB .392 ISO.

Wil Myers in 2012 for 35 games at AA. Age 21. An OFer who is currently mashing in his rookie season and has put up 2.1 WAR in under1/3 of a season.

.343/.414/.731 13 HR 11 2B 27.6% K 10.5% BB .388 ISO

Never really thought of him as a comp (as a hitter) but I was just looking at Myers's numbers and was shocked by the similarity, as I had just seen that 25 game split for Javy.

Giancarlo Stanton in AA at 20, 53 games:

313/442/729

Stanton's walk rate was absurd in that stretch, though.

Thought about a Myers comp about a week ago. Then I looked at Myers numbers and was like "DAMN". Well since, Baez has hit like .500 with 3 hr and 3 doubles and 3 bbs....now he's in DAMN territory too.

Brett brought this up in his most recent article that made me even more excited for Baez...

After putting up a fantastic .274/.338/.535 line at Daytona (20-years-old, young for the league), Baez has improved in almost every way since coming to Tennessee. The slash line is better - .293/.355/.631 – and the walk rate is much better (8.4% versus 6.2%). The K rate is a little worse (28.7% versus 23.1%), but most of the AA K’s came in his first handful of games. Over the last 15 games, the K rate is just 18.6%.

there are very few scenarios where i feel like it's a good idea to pitch to baez right now, so his BB rate should spike this month
