Javy single in his 3rd AB.......He'd be in the major league lineup tomorrow, if Hendry were still here. Edited by davell

That is so true. I honestly think he'll be a september '14 call up at the very latest at this point though. Even with a conservative FO like ours.

Arismendy Alcantara has been a bit streaky this season so his line over his last 10 games (.190/.292/.238) doesn't really raise any red flags for me. But he has played 19 games in 19 days if you include the Southern League All-Star game. Prior to that, he played 5 games in 3 days, then traveled to New York on July 13th, played in the Futures Game, traveled back on the 15th and had one day off before playing in the All-Star on the 17th. That's 25 games in 26 days. In the south. In July and August. He's already played a dozen more games than he has in any previous season. The dude's 5'10", 160 lbs. Anybody think he might just be a tad tired? Yowza...

Hey, they finally gave him a day off!

Jed has already said he hopes some of these guys are playing on the big league club at some point in 2014.

Guys I expect to see by September of next year: Javy, Alcantara, Hendricks, Villanueva, Szczur, Loux, Vizcaino, and Neil Ramirez, if he's the PTBNL. Obviously, we'll see Olt, Grimm, and Cabrera.

With his last walk, Baez has an 8.9% walk percentage. That would be above average in MLB.

(That's 8.9% in AA)

Yeah, outside of championships, I can't think of one thing in all of my sports fandom that I want more than for Javy to be a superstar.

The second strike was looking on a terrible strike call, at least 6 inches outside.

That was former Southern Miss Golden Eagle Colin Cargill. He's having a really good season, by the way. I'm sure nobody cares.
