almora 4/6 with 2 doubles. definitely not worried about whether or not he can hit. 2 walks in 35 professional games is a concern, though.

I'm giving him a pass for now, considering he turned 19 a month ago.

On a positive note, his K rate is only around 8% in 35 pro games. Amazing ability to put the bat on the ball.

Kyle Hendricks dominating again so far. What's the deal?

He could very well make some mid season top 20-30 lists. Especially taking consideration the overall meh-ness that we've gotten from the majority of our pitching prospects.

If he keeps this up, I'd be surprised if he wasn't on everyone's top 30 lists. I mean, heck, I think you can make a case for top 15 right now in our system. A long way to go until we need to think about mid-season lists, though.

Whenever I see a fringe, or at least not particularly notable pitching prospect, I try to compare their stats with those of guys who ultimately became filler;

In their 1st full season at AA:

Casey Coleman(22): 3.5/5.1 BB/K 1.38 WHIP

Chris Rusin(24?) 1.9/5.8, 1.298

Brooks Raley(23) 3.0/5.3 1.577

Kyle Hendricks (23) 1.9/7.3 1.065

Obviously, Hendricks has only had 9 starts, but at this point, it's more than SSS. My not so expert analysis is that we may have something here; at least something more than filler.

I'm very torn as to whether or not I should acknowledge John Andreoli despite his comical lack of power for a guy his size. He has Sam Fuld or Tony Campana''s numbers in Justin Upton's frame.

He is a tough one, but you do have to factor in he has 6 triples already and 13 SB (out of 16). I think he's definitely more valuable than Campana at this stage in his career and probably Fuld too. So yeah, I guess I'm saying I think he could be worth something even on the small trade chip valuable side.

What really intrigues me about him is that he's 6'1, 215 lbs and puts together the slash line of those a 5'9 170 lb scrappers. Makes me wonder if there's some power still to come.

Hard to imagine, considering he's going to be 23 in a couple of weeks and still in Daytona (although he probably deserves to be in Tenn).

I don't remember if I've mentioned this before, but are Jae-Hoon Ha, Matt Szczur, and John Andreoli incredibly similar, or is just me?

I've never heard of Andreoli being an especially capable defender like Ha and Szczur are known for.
