One of my friends is a huge Pirates fan. He took his son to a game against the Cardinals in St. Louis in early September. They had seats about nine rows up from the Pirate dugout. Because they wore black and stuck out like sore thumbs, Neil Walker told them to come down by the dugout. About ten minutes later, they walked away with a couple baseballs signed by just about everybody who was in the dugout at the time, signed programs, caps, and a couple of t'shirts.

 

Pretty cool.

Yeah, they really wanted a power hitter and they spent a lot on a guy who hits home runs and does nothing else. He's basically Adam Dunn without plate patience. They may regret that.
