I cant believe Toews has 1 goal in 19 playoff games. It completely defies all logic to me. I know he should have gotten one tonight, but its just insane overall...

No Hossa put that one in.

Thought Toews put it on the net, but Hossa had the "nudge" toward Rask's feet.

Agreed on the response. It's a 1-1 series, a damn good Cup finals. Hawks looked bad the last part of this game. They completely and totally dominated the 1st period though. You can't just disregard that and say they can't do it again.

It's a travesty that the refs can't get a simple goal call right, but whatever. Roll with it.

We beat the Kings in their building and we can beat the Bruins in their building.

if you guys think the hawks have any chance here, you're going to be exceptionally sad in about a week and a half.

This is pathetically stupid. Hawks demolished them in Corsi in game 1 (+51), and despite the "dominant" play of the Bs in game 2, the Hawks were still +13.

The Hawks have been the better team through 2 games. The Hawks clearly have a good shot to win the series.

Seriously embarrassing responses to an OT loss.

Why do you even watch sports?

I can't tell anymore when people are kidding around here with that sort of talk or when it's just shtick.

Kane disappeared again after the 1st last night. Bickell didn't do [expletive]. I didn't see an overall glaring lack of effort in the second half of that game though.

I saw tiredness in OT -- or at least what I perceived to be tiredness.

I guess it makes sense. Just OT after OT these past few games, it's got to wear on them eventually.

I don't see why the Hawks can't play more like they did in the 1st period moving forward. They completely dominated the Bruins, and really the game shouldn't have even gone to OT. It was a classic ref mistake, not having enough visual angles to see where the puck is around the net.

It happens.

I'd like to pose a serious question: why do people around here think there's suddenly no chance?

I went back and watched game 1 (I was traveling during most of the game). I saw the Hawks get beat fairly bad in the early 1st period, then adjust and pretty much dominate play in the 2nd period. Then they let a goal in the 3rd to go down 3-1, but adjusted quickly and scored a couple goals to tie it.

To me, the Hawks did not get lucky in game 1. They won because they were supposed to -- they were the better team.

Game 2, the Hawks controlled play the entire 1st period, then part of the 2nd. From about the halfway point of the 2nd period on, they were controlled.

So, you've got the Hawks actually controlling more of the ice time so far, or at the very least a pretty even split. My question: how does this equal the Hawks having no chance whatever?

Reactionary panic by impulsive fans.

Nothing has changed, we have just as good of a chance as winning as they do. Games go back and forth, both teams will carry play again during this series and it will go back and forth.

1 - yes reactionary irrational posts

2- the series was played so evenly at home and there's usually a jump in play by the home team in game 3

The worry is that in Boston even play is going to turn into controlled play by the Bruins. But worry is just that - worry. We won't know for sure until Monday and Wednesday

lol you guys. the hawks are the better team. while that doesn't mean that they will win, it definitely means that they have a better chance of winning what is now a best of five

i don't expect anyone to back off of the ledge, and i don't even necessarily want you to. i just think this should be pointed out

Apparently Q said that Stalberg "could play", which apparently usually means "will play".

I'm not down with all the trashing of Bollig, but this is a good decision at this point. If nothing else Stalberg will have fresh legs and should be highly motivated.

It's very nice that Boston is allowing a random drunk to sing the anthem during the Final.

He sounds like my uncle Bill imitating my great grandmother's Irish accent.
