“Where does he fit in?” Julien asked the reporter. “I don’t think we do our game planning around Mr. Shaw. Our game plan is against the Chicago Blackhawks. We know he’s an agitator. We know he’s good at embellishing, too, at times. We know all that stuff. We’ve done our research.”

I wish I had been able to see the whole game. As it was, the game was halfway through the 1st period when I boarded my plane in Cincy, and I *still* managed to catch around 30 minutes of overtime hockey at home in Madison.

Can't even believe how awesome that was.

But, there's a twinge of concern over being dominated for 50 minutes at home by the Bruins. Need to knock that junk off.

Yeah, the game was tight in OT, and the only time Boston had a distinct advantage in chances were in the 1st period and 1st OT. Even then, it was fairly close.

In the 2nd and 3rd periods, though, the Hawks outchanced the Bruins something like 20-8.

I really feel the Hawks are going to close this out in 5 or 6 games. On offense Boston is so dependent on that Krejci line, but I don't see much scoring coming from any other lines, and if Horton is out an extended period of time, that's a huge blow. Put the clamps down on Lucic and they got this.

i wish i would have tallied how many times i thought to myself, "man, the blackhawks are going to have a lot of work to do after this loss." the bruins were just better in pretty much every way for most of the game, the exception being goaltending. the hawks definitely carried play at times, but as soon as it was noticeable, the bruins forecheck and general stick wizardry would break it up and things would get back to the neutral zone quickly

i just am unimpressed with rask. he's overconfident, i knew he was going to get beat when he misplayed that shot before the winner. he just has an incredible defense in front of him that is able to drive down the quality of shot that is put on him. i suppose that's not a knock on him, but in the end, we scored twice as many goals in this game as pittsburgh did all series. he's just catching all the glory for what is a great, great defense

we stole this one, hopefully we make the adjustments needed to not have to rely on thievery

The game looked different in my eyes. Bruins defense prevented them from losing 10-3 but the Hawks controlled for the most part.

yeah, the numbers don't lie. i guess i was just amazed at how well boston dealt with the hawks in the defensive zone, especially controlling the quality of chance in many cases. but i was definitely a overzealous in my declaration of boston's performance last night

saad lighting the lamp was awesome. good for him, he earned it

This might be old news to people who actually follow hockey, but I found it amusing.

Apparently that's the exact phrase that Barry Rozner used on the Score this morning. Him and Jay Zawaski had a brief little twitter spat about it.

I went to a bar with Bruins fans and softball teammates for the first two periods but had to get home to relieve the babysitter. I had set up the DVR to do the full game + 1 hour, and then when it went into overtime, I deleted the game and restarted a new 2 hour manual record. I was afraid I'd fall asleep and miss the end.

As an aside, the signal at the bar went skippy and actually went out a couple times, including on the 5-3. It was cable, not directv. My signal never went out at all at those times. Cablevision here absolutely blows. Everybody who has it has more disruption than my directv ever has.

also, this very easily could have been 7-3 in favor of the bruins had crow not been outstanding. i feel confident that we have the best goalie in this series, that goofy looking tuuuuukkkkkka rask ain't [expletive]

jersey, this might be a little out of your way, but there's an excellent blackhawks bar in bay ridge, brooklyn:

My recording ended 1 second after the puck went in, it was glorious.

Apparently the Boston radio stations are pulling sound bites from Chicago radio that make our guys look like we don't know anything about hockey and are playing it on their airwaves.

Listening to it now... Specifically talking about Danny Macs show
