Yes, what goony said. Also, they pretty much let Zell make the hangover hurt more than it had to hurt. I'm tired of the excuses.

 

Whatever structure they agreed to allowed them to buy the team. It got other unwilling bidders out. That being the case, it was not a bad move for them, even if it sucks for us. To be fair, I'm not sure if you're saying that it was, but a lot of people do.

 

That said, you're totally right in that he doesn't get to cry about it at the same time.

Sounds like Russell (in a non-Javy bust world) is slated for 3B rather than SS.

 

Said they'll have him work some at 2nd and 3rd in spring.

my feed won't stay for more than a minute or two.

 

anything more specific on this?

I saw tweets that Telander was dumb, and posts here that he was dumb....but...how? I need more specifics on his stupidity.

He said the expectation is for Javy to be at 2B and basically that they'll deal with some growing pains rather than panic if he's still struggling. Then Telander was dumb.

 

Hopefully that means they do think he'll be better and they are right.

Looking back at the Shark trade.....at the time the Cubs were 38-46, and the A's 55-33. After the trade, the Cubs went 35-43, and the A's went 35-41.

 

That means that Shark (and Hammel) were on a team for 160 games this year, and that "team" went....73-87, and now Shark is going to the playoffs.

I like Brett. I mean, he's a total apologist. But I like him.

 

Yeah, I mean he is sometimes creepy on twitter and is more apologisty than even me but he's too nice a guy and seems to work really hard on that site for me to hate on him too hard.

for me it's the shameless ass kissing of media types on twitter, the creepy memes, and the cheesy gimmicks of the site (i.e. "The Plan" and other crap like that) plus the everything the Cubs are doing is great type vibe.
