GOOD GOD GET THE [expletive] OFF THAT THING RIGHT NOW AND DON'T GET ON IT FOR 15-20 YEARS

Let's get an amendment to his contract - if there isn't one already against this, crazy mfer

I'm not 100% sure on this but I thought that was basically in every pro-athlete's contract.

Castro and Rizzo both have more (f/b)WAR than Trout. Go Cubs.

And we'll probably be ecstatic if they add up to Trout's total at year's end.

And that's not really a bad thing.

NEW YORK -- The Chicago Cubs named former outfielder Darnell McDonald as a baseball operations assistant.

McDonald, 35, will work with minor league players on and off the field, evaluate amateur players for the draft and visit the major league team. McDonald will participate in the Instructional League in Arizona next fall as an extra coach.

McDonald retired as a player earlier this month after 16 professional seasons, including last season with the Cubs, in which he batted .302 in 53 at-bats.

Seems that it featured an extended rain delay, but the box doesn't mention it. Probably thinking of a different game.

I believe the delay was to start the game. I remember waiting for a long time for the game to start, then giving up and going to sleep and waking up the next day to find out that not only was the game played, but the Cubs scored 26 runs.

Without giving Al Yellon the satisfaction of hits, you can check out BCB's high quality work here:

@sahadevsharma: @DanMKirby I'm not tweeting out the link, but maybe just check out @BleedCubTweets for the gist

ETA: Oh, and Yellon wrote a piece on why Javier Baez should be called up now. What an idiot.
