Wasn't even a strike, didn't make good contact, ball hung in the air, very frustrating.

More bad luck which hurts when your team isn't that good.

How many wild pitches can we have in an inning?

You know what hurts a lot more than bad luck? Walking guys.

Thus the "when your team isn't that good." aspect.

New rule, if the ball crosses the plate, it's a passed ball and not a wild pitch.

It would be great if our pitchers decided to stop throwing the ball into the dirt every other pitch.

The team isn't pitching.

This happens year after year. How do good teams find good relievers?

Not bringing up or trading for shitty ones helps.

So the Cubs blew a 5-0 lead and lost the 1st game, blew a 2-0 9th inning lead to fall behind 3-2 before coming back and winning the 2nd game, had runners on 1st and 3rd with 1 out down 3-2 in the 8th inning of the 3rd game and didn't score, and now blew a 4-1 lead and now trail 5-4 in this one.

Damn.

I wonder if that day we spent arguing about which foot to hit the bag should have been spent discussing blocking pitches.

(no, I'm not letting that one go. It's in the rotation now).

This thread doesn't have to be about Kyle.
