I saw that thing it looks awesome. Goes right over sand and water and you can leave it on the green. A lot faster than traditional carts. I wonder how loud it is.

As far as the Masters goes, I hope Rory wins this weekend. That would be a great lead in for next week. I prefer all the best players playing their best leading into the tournament. Obviously Tiger is on fire and is the favorite. If it was the field vs. Tiger, I'd go with Tiger. Even as he was struggling (for Tiger) the last few years, he has played well at Augusta. Outside of Tiger, I'm going with Oosthuizen.

Would love to see the 14 year old do well.

he hasn't had a top-10 finish all year and has missed the cut twice in five tries

in the non-tiger category, i'd go with sergio as my hopeful and keegan bradley (despite the twerp-iness) as my dark horse. the case for sergio is very strong, he's quietly put together an outstanding year so far

I like Kuchar for the non-Tiger group/not totally popular pick. But I agree, Garcia has had a great year. Would be awesome to have a Garcia/Tiger final pairing on Sunday. Gun to my head, I'm picking Tiger though.

I'm hoping for a Tiger/Phil showdown over the weekend. It would be nice to see that one last time at a major.

Another guy who is having a good year so far beside Sergio is Justin Rose. My dark horse pick (and I mean dark horse if you looks what he has done at the majors in his career) is Bill Haas.

He already won this year on the Euro tour and just placed 10th at the Shell Houston Open.

Apparently the prices on concessions at the Masters are really cheap....sales tax included!

Wow, that's great. I've been to a few PGA events and PGA championships and they all are wildly overpriced. I think I paid $20 for a burger and water when it was up at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin 3-4 years ago.

Apparently?

Haven't you noticed every column ever written about Augusta National talks about those $1.50 pimento cheese sandwiches?

The thing I thought was weird is everything is generic and/or labelled as Masters. (Beer, light beer, imported beer, , soft drinks, chips, cookies, etc.) They even force you to rip off the gatorade bottle label when you enter. Except there is Mars branded candy, Snickers and M&M's. Thewrapp ers are all green plastic, I'm guessing so they don't show up on TV.

But apparently Mars Inc. struck some sort of deal to be included.

I must've missed the pimento cheese articles.

They are disgusting. But I had to try one after hearing so much about them.

Bottom line is never trust a sportswriter when the discussion is food based. Or sports based.

Tiger just dropped a nice F bomb right when the cameras went to him on 11. Tried hitting a cut shot, didn't cut. They put the mic on him to hear him laughing the he says outloud and clearly audible "how the [expletive] did it do that!?!"

It's nice that a tournament where the vast majority of attendees are filthy rich (or otherwise very fortunate) has insanely low concession prices.

Putting not quite there today for Tiger. Not that he's been bad, just hasn't been as good as he has been the last few tournaments. Missed a very makeable 6-8 footer on 15 for birdie just now.

It seems his whole game is just a "touch" off today. He's just plodding along. I was hoping he would shoot anywhere from -2 to -4 today so he's right where I expect him to be. Although I wasn't expecting to see a -6 today. It's going to be interesting to see when the weather/course get drier and faster after today.

I don't think Tiger has ever shot below 70 in an opening round. He feels out the first round.

You obviously didn't look this up, did you?

Pretty much everything said here is correct.

My Dad & Uncle have been working #15 for 20 years. Augusta is amazing, but I can't believe people pay $5-10K for the weekend.

How does a 14 year old even qualify for the Masters?

I've been wondering about that as well. I know he won Juniors World in record fashion, but Tiger didn't get into the Masters until he was 19 and already won 3 straight U.S. Junior Amateur and 2 U.S. Amatuer. I know he did great in the first round and possibly will make the cut, but it almost "feels" like a PR move and get more viewers from the Asian market.
