In a league with a few cardinals fans. One wants wainwright from me. I want Cespedes from him. He offered me Brett Anderson and Cespedes for wainwright and Adam jones. My other OFs are soriano, mccutchen and hart when he returns. My other SPs are kershaw, Edwin, niese, shark, gallardo, Tillman and Miguel Gonzalez.

 

This trade worth pursuing? I'd really like to keep jones if possible but I don't know that it is

I don't think I'd give up Jones in that deal but I'm pretty high on him. Will he overpay if Wainwright bounces back in a start or two?

you should just accept any offer he makes, you're lucky he's even willing to deal with you after you knowingly pulled that garbage and took a player he wanted in front of him

You'd be getting a worse pitcher and a presumably equal hitter. I wouldn't even debate it.

Other players on his roster: Rutledge, lowrie, Darvish, and Matt Harvey. I've got Castro and Zobrist as my other middle infield options, and my SP situation was bleak even before Cueto got hurt.

Make a run at Darvish 1 for 1. You both sell high and then you aren't clearly giving up the best player in the deal.

I received an offer of Anthony Rizzo and Tony Cingrani for Shelby Miller and Jason Heyward. The guy knows I'm a huge Cubs/Rizzo fan and is trying to ply that against me, but I'm not so sure it would be a bad trade, particularly if Heyward turns in a 2011 as opposed to his 2012, which I see developing.

 

I feel like this could be selling high on Miller, but I'm admittedly biased here. Thoughts?

That guy's probably selling higher on Cingrani than you are with Miller. If he has a little more established SP that you could get instead of Cingrani I think that's a pretty fair deal.

Agreed, if you could get someone like Kuroda, Latos, Shields, A. Sanchez I'd do it. I wouldn't do it though if Cingrani is the pitcher coming back.

My OF is Chris Davis, Desmond Jennings, Melky Cabrera, and Cuddyer. So I could use the OF help but is Zimmerman too much b/c of his WHIP? Also would be trading with the team most likely to be my biggest competition this season (and has won the league 3 of last 4 years.
