I wasn't really listening, but Mully & Hanley were also speculating that Hardin just didn't do enough. "Doesn't deserve to be on the roster."

It's pretty bad when a 3rd round pick can't even make the team. Terrible, wasted pick.

But fresh legs.

I had the radio on for about 5 minutes after the game and that weird creeper who does overnight for the Score was saying something like "Webb's locker was cleared out."

Are you confusing Grobstein and Schuster?

I think Schuster said that...Grobstein is the weird creeper who does overnight.

Grobstein is hilarious just for the crowd of callers his show attracts, like the guy who asked him who he'd take between Jordan or Jeremy Lin in their primes, then said "dont like it" when he answered Michael Jordan.

lol the callers are amazing

A friend of mine from Texas met him at a BWW 4 years ago or so. He (my friend) was there watching the Bears.

Said Webb was talking about how shitty the Bears' line was and talking [expletive] about Cutler too.

It was a very Angelo type pick, weirdly.

Only McClellin, Jeffery and Frey will remain with the team from last year's draft when Hardin is cut.

On the flip side, it seems like a given that every player from this year's draft will make the team.

I don't think that's all fluke either. There is some random variance, but having a full year to implement your system and the additional scouts they brought on surely must have made a difference (although its kind of early to grade either draft, especially this one).

Not sure what you mean by that. It was very much an Emery like pick. He likes big freaks of nature and doesn't care about a lack of college playing time or perceived value.

Edwin Williams released. So we're looking at this, I imagine:

LT Jermon Bushrod/Jonathan Scott

LG Matt Slauson/James Brown

C Roberto Garza/Matt Slauson

RG Kyle Long/James Brown

RT Jordan Mills/Eben Britton

It's amazing how rebuilt the O-line is. 5/8 players listed are brand new and 2 of the other 3 have only been with the Bears for 1 season.

Also, I hope you guys are right and Ford makes the team rather than Allen. Ford is way more dynamic and has the better pedigree.

Britton and Brown can play both G or T, so that made Edwin Williams unnecessary.

Also, any word on 3rd RB? I'll admit I'm pulling for Ford.

Williams only benefit was his ability to also play C but Slauson certainly seems adequate and I'd rather have Brown/Slauson at LG and C than Slauson/Williams.

One source suggests #Bears will keep 4 tight ends and FB Tony Fiammetta. 4th TE could be Onobun or newcomer. We'll see what develops here.

How can Onobun make this team? Is he a great blocker or something?

He's probably the second best receiving TE despite the drops. Great athlete/project, and does well in practice. As raw put it, he clearly can get open.

I don't know anything about him other than he has become some sort of lightning rod for people who waste time watching preseason games.
