Yeah...that's definitely Slauson, not Carimi.

Oops. Thought it was a different look for Carimi, but didn't know who else it might be.

Carimi is slimmer(weaker looking) and walks around with a limp on his bad knee.

Tough to see a limp in a still picture.

Just an FYI, do not google image search the word limp.

Give Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff the 11 picks he is scheduled to have in this draft and he becomes a threat to move around.

Could Emery work a deal with the guy that booted him out of his job in Atlanta before recommending him to KC?

If Trufant is there its possible. I wouldn't mind him on the Bears though, so depends on the board.

Defensive end Shea McClellin said one of his focuses this offseason was adding mass. He’s up “five to seven” pounds to 258

from walter:

If you access the aforementioned link to my NFL Draft Rumors, you'll see that the Bears are looking into the tight end position with this 20th-overall selection. They signed Martellus Bennett, but they could use more of a receiving option at the position to really help Jay Cutler.

Chicago may fall in love with Tyler Eifert's athleticism. I had Eifert going No. 13 in my previous mock draft, so this is definitely not a reach.

"more of a receiving option"? no way they go tight end.

Wasn't there just an ESPN article saying Ertz was tge TE they were looking at? I'm sure its 90% smokescreen with Emery anyways.

Just can't wait until the draft.

I don't understand this sentiment.

They have positioned themselves so they can justify selecting just about any position with the 1st pick, outside of QB and RB. Last year they had a desperate need for an offensive lineman and they drafted a tweener to play at the back of the defensive end rotation. If there's a guy of value available at their selection I absolutely could see them drafting one.

I would prefer a deep threat, if they take a receiver of any sort, but I wouldn't discount adding Eifert in the 1st or Ertz in the 2nd. We definitely have flexibility to do most anything we want.

Damn jersey I don't ever agree with you but you're spot on. I might add S to that list. Partially because I doubt at 20 S could be BPA. Seems like their are too many teams with a need that will drive up the price and not really any cant miss types.

I still don't love TE there, but if Cooper and Warmack go at 18 and 19 like Walter's draft shows, I'm not sure what alternatives I'd prefer.

I don't love it at all, but I sure would not cross it off the list of possibilities.

Trade up if both are available at 18.

No way I'd trade up, especially if both are there. I'd take my chances one falls. If not trade down or get someone else, depending on who falls.

Lovie Smith on Sportscenter this a.m. talking about how teams prepare for the draft.Didn't mention anything about his departure from the Bears.

I'd be surprised if the Bears draft OL early. I think they are ok with their projected starters. If u draft OG you are benching one of Carimi, Webb or Slauson. If u draft OT again its Webb or Carimi. I think they like Brown and Scott as backups. So atmost u are looking at a backup for at least this year or a C. And those can be had later....and there have been no signs of them getting rid of Garza.

Also of note, the Bears did not go to UNCs pro day. Last year the bears didn't draft anyone who they did not either invite for a workout or go to their pro day. That shows no interest in Cooper....and there's not much to separate him and Warmack so that tells me they aren't taking OG 1st at all.

I really like (with my very limited knowledge) rounds 2 and 3 in this draft. I hope a good offer to trade down comes to them. I'd like to see them grab someone like Travis Frederick, Larry Warford, Barrett Jones or David Quessenbery type in the 2nd or 3rd (if they gain a pick). Slauson helps considerably this year, but they still have the need for a young interior lineman. Garza needs replaced.

After their FA spending, they can just go with their highest graded guys. So they may very well end up passing on OL. Like any draft, there are so many ways it can go.

As of now, my best guess is they add an offensive weapon with one of their 1st 2 picks. Whether its TE or WR. Someone they can run out of the slot like Eifert in the 1st or Swope in the 2nd. The defense is getting older, but the offense is in need of more help.

I won't be suprised if they do, but not suprised if they don't either. I think it depends on whos there. Cant be worried about pushing off an unknown like Carimi or guys on one year deals like Webb and Slauson.

Good note about Cooper though. Now I can prep myself for when we pass on him. And even though he us enticing I'm okay with that as long as I like the player we'd opt for over him.

The most disappointing thing is they seem content with Garza. I suppose they can get a C prospect in rd 4 and they would need a year to groom anyways, but Garza is just bad now.

Fyi, I posted on my blog some draft insight I've established.

Do you post on Twitter when you update this, by any chance?
