Well, at the beginning of the season I (optimistically) predicted 6 wins for Penn State. They're now 6-3 and have no sure losses the rest of the way. Won't be easy (IU, Nebraska, Wiscy) but any more wins now are just gravy.

I was at the ND game today and have no voice left. I'm quite certain that this football team is going to kill me.

So LSU outgained Bama by 104 yards, their QB went 24-35 for 298 yards, went 10-20 on third down to Bama's 1-9, had four more first downs and didn't turn the ball over at all (Bama did twice) and yet they lost the game.

 

Bama/LSU combined for 766 yards. Oregon had 730.

 

Boise lost again today which all but takes them out of contention for a BCS spot. Louisiana Tech is the only team that could get in (they were ranked No. 25 in the BCS last week), but they've still got to face the other two top teams in the WAC. That would be two straight years with no BCS teams from the small conferences after five straight years with at least one.
