Of all the calls to focus on, they spend all that energy scrutinizing a call where it's pretty clear that some type of penalty was committed, and they may have picked the wrong one?

What was the unsportsmanlike penalty for?

Harbaugh coming on the field. They made that a point of emphasis this week. Harbaugh claimed he was trying to call a timeout.

Harbaugh apparently went on the field to get the refs attention to call a TO and got a 15 yard penalty for his efforts

I love Michaels and Collinsworth basically saying these refs need to go away immediately. They said these refs are trying their best but they are absolutely not qualified to be doing this.

Oh hey, look, the refs have lost control of a game

People haven't changed the channel yet, so stop caring about quality.

I know you're being sarcastic but that's clearly the NFL's stance in negotiations here. The league is still making their money so they seem to think they can take a hardline with the refs.

At this point is gonna take a clearly botched call that directly costs a team a victory for the outcry to be loud enough to get back to the negotiating table.

I think the more likely scenario is a massive all-out brawl or a paralyzed player, either resulting from the replacement refs losing control of a game. Columnists and players can write off bad calls as being part of the game, plus the penalty stats coming into this week apparently were on par with last year.

However, these refs have been atrocious at keeping the game under control. Players are head-hunting and instigating because they know these refs won't eject them and the NFL won't do anything about it, save for handing out random fines and suspensions. I thought we'd see that happen to Matt Schaub today, but thankfully he seemed to be okay after Joe Mays nearly decapitated him.

Belichick grabbed a referee and tried to pull him back towards him as he was running away. NBC guys seem to think this is a big deal.

Either way, this replacement ref thing is getting ugly and the coaches are flipping their [expletive] over it.

I loved Flacco and Rice's reaction when Michelle Tafoya asked Torrey Smith about his brother dying. Horrible questioning...

I don't understand why Schwartz did what he did, but it definitely cost the Lions a ballgame.

He said they just lined up to try and draw the Titans offsides and he was going to take a TO and kick the FG, but there was miscommunication/the crowd was too loud and the ball was accidentally snapped. But yeah, they just should've sent the FG unit out right away.

I didn't realize exactly how crazy the fourth quarter of Titans-Lions was until watching the highlights.

Through three quarters, it was 20-16 Tennessee. In the fourth quarter alone, Detroit outscored Tennessee 25-21. Detroit scored two touchdowns in the last 18 seconds, there were three TDs in the last 1:16, four in the last 3:11 and six in the last 6:53.

The NFL just made a huge deal this week about not harassing the scab officials and BB grabs one by the arm to argue a call as everyone is trying to leave the field? Yeah, I expect a huge fine and wouldn't be surprised at a suspension.
