Anyone think the Seahawks can beat the Packers tonight? I think they have a real good shot, especially playing at home.

This season so far, anyone can beat anyone. Especially with Green Bay's offense not clicking yet.

He said they just lined up to try and draw the Titans offsides and he was going to take a TO and kick the FG, but there was miscommunication/the crowd was too loud and the ball was accidentally snapped. But yeah, they just should've sent the FG unit out right away.

Had they kicked the field goal there, I think chances are very high they'd have lost. The Titans have an awful defense and were struggling to even slow down the Lions' run game. Mikel Leshoure, in his first NFL game, rushed for over 100 yards and the Lions were winning at the point of attack all day. On the other side of the ball, the Titans were moving the ball pretty well and had just marched down the field and kicked a field goal. We also have one of the more reliable kickers in the game (despite him missing a couple yesterday).

Had the Lions gone for that 4th and inches and got it, I have little doubt they'd have won the game. And I also have very little doubt that had they just gone for the first down, they'd have gotten it. The best move would have been going for it, kicking the field goal immediately would have been an ok decision, but the decision to try to draw the Titans offside before kicking it was a bad one, I think.

Yeah, Seattle has a nice homefield advantage and a good defense / running game. GB's offense has looked like garbage so far. They would've torched the Bears 42-10 in year's past had the Bears turned it over 4 times like they did in the Thursday night game.

I expect some of these teams to start rounding back into form, and GB should be one of them. The trouble is, I don't know if it will happen this week for them. It might not.

I think the reality of the loss of Sean Payton is finally hitting Saints fans. Like others I thought that the loss wouldn't be so profound given that Drew Brees is the epitome of a field general, but damnit if it isn't obvious now just how influential Payton was. I've been to both home games now and the fans are rabid as ever, but there is definitely a very queer feeling about it all. There is definitely a sense that something is missing. We caught a glimpse of this last year when Payton was injured and had to sit up in the booth. The team was absolutely not clicking on all cylinders during those games. Other than the opening loss against the Packers, their only regular season losses came in the three or four week stretch where he wasn't on the sidelines.

Also, the Saints D, which has always been mediocre at best is now downright terrible. They just don't have the personnel to run a Spagz defensive scheme. Will Smith is on his last leg and losing Vilma is a devastating blow. There isn't a single pro-bowl caliber player anywhere near the defensive roster this season. Carl Nicks was also a HUGE loss on the OL as witnessed by Brees being hit and running for his life more than I've ever seen.

Karma I guess

They wouldn't even have let someone like that compete in my junior high league. The rules were already set to make it impossible for any future D1/NFL QB or TE to ever handle the ball in the league. (ok, Flutie could maybe have made weight)

It's not even 2 and a half games into the season and Green Bay has played two proven good defenses and one that is looking pretty good too (especially tackling wise) and I'm sure I'm overreacting but Green Bay's offense kind of sucks.

The Packers know they're allowed to block the Seattle DLine right?

I don't think I've seen this before, and that's really saying something. What's the sack record?

However many sacks the Seahawks get this game.
