The most disappointing part of the Jackson/Vitters era is how many people are surprised/disappointed that Jackson strikes out and Vitters struggles at a new level.

Both will take time to sort out issues. Fortunately, the Cubs have plenty of it over the next 60 games.

I doubt it's too big of an issue. Not many people are paying attention to the big league team.

Well, maybe.

Don't get me wrong, I completely agree with you on the former point; it's hilarious the sheer number of people ready to write off both after their first and second games, respectively. That said, prospects are such a crap shoot to begin with, and both have rather critical flaws, that it wouldn't be all that surprising at all if neither ends up sticking as impact players or even as regulars.

Right, I'm not saying either will work out at the big league level, but either way they'll need a good amount of time at the major league level to figure out one way or the other, and a week of struggles is hardly conclusive.

People booing either at this point either have some serious entitlement issues or need an expectations reality check.

Unbelievable

this has to be the worst fundamentally played game in a decade by the Cubs

and go ahead and call me out for popping up now, I've been holding back the whole game.

Totally agree. Worst I've ever seen.

Not like it is a big deal with the way this season has gone, but wow embarrassing.

There is no possible way that a long term fan of the Cubs could think this is the worst game they've seen from them.

It's one thing for them to get destroyed on the field, but I mean 3 errors in one inning, other errors, and mental breakdowns. Fundamentally I would like to see an example of a worse game played.

I'm fairly confident the Cubs have had worse games than 5 errors and a single bad send by the 1B coach.

The 1B coach isn't even supposed to be guiding him at that point.

Oh, and it's only the 6th inning.
