I don't get why errors make it so much worse than like a 17-1 beating or something. Because of a stupid statistical category that shouldn't even exist? If a pitcher misses his location and gives up a home run, that's just ordinary bad. But if a fielder makes a bad throw and puts a runner on first or gives up an extra base, that's a special new level of bad? Mistakes are mistakes, bad is bad.

There is no possible way that a long term fan of the Cubs could think this is the worst game they've seen from them.

It's one thing for them to get destroyed on the field, but I mean 3 errors in one inning, other errors, and mental breakdowns. Fundamentally I would like to see an example of a worse game played.

I'm fairly confident the Cubs have had worse games than 5 errors and a single bad send by the 1B coach.

The 1B coach isn't even supposed to be guiding him at that point.

Yes, I know. I'm still not going to declare this the worst Cubs game I've ever seen in 30 years.

Camp is done... should've traded him

I'm sure they got very few offers for him or the offers they got weren't worth trading him or else I'm sure he would've been gone

Hey remember when Soto used to do stuff like that?

Hit? I do vaguely remember that...

I'm excited to be filling our catching position between Castillo and Clevenger next year for the minimum. We've already talked about the inexpensive infield- couldn't be a bigger fan of it.

Nobody is excited about Steve Clevenger. Not even Steve Clevenger.

He's cheaper and at least slightly better than Koyie. Point noted though, it's like the Giant Douche/ Turd Sandwich debate.

He's better than Hill? Clevenger has been amazingly bad since April. His fWAR is down to -0.3 on the year, on pace to pass Hill's worst (-0.4). His OPSes in the three months since April (and one game in may): .480, .346, .311.
