In his first game with Boise, Daniel Vogelbach is hitting 5th and playing 1B. Rock Shoulders is taking the night off.

But I was told a week ago that thinking Vogelbach should be in Boise was fanboyish nonsense because he hasn't played enough in Mesa and there isn't an opening at Boise? How can this be?

what is with vitters' sudden spate of strikeouts? 17 in his last 11 games. i expect this [expletive] from brett jackson, but making contact is supposed to be the one thing that vitters does well.

In a sign that the person manning the stats for the AZL Cubs must be drunk, Jorge Soler is apparently playing SS with Almora playing 3B.

Clearly a sign that they can't handle RF and CF defensively. Either that or they are going to be forever blocked by Brett Jackson and Bryan LaHair.

Albert Almora reaches on a fielding error by shortstop Dorssys Paulino. Shawon Dunston scores.

Jorge Soler reaches on a force attempt, fielding error by shortstop Dorssys Paulino. Albert Almora to 2nd.

Almora reached on an error. Soler reached on a failed force attempt. Both scored ahead of a Ben Carhart HR, taking over for Vogelbach at 1B.

FYI, Almora and Soler playing CF and RF, respectively (fixed) and batting 3-4.
