Shawon Dunston Jr implying he's been demoted on his Twitter page.

Wow, the Boise OFers have had a tough time on offense so far this season. Dunston, Kim, Batista and Martin (SSS) are all hitting near or under .200. Rademacher is the only OF that has been raking since his promotion to Boise.

I wonder if the demotion means that Soler is headed to Boise. Also, Almora will have no problem finding playing time with Boise if that is where they send him.

I wonder who Rosscup is replacing in the Tennessee rotation. McNutt seems the logical choice, moving him to the pen. Or maybe Struck is moving up to Iowa?

I suspect Almora will be in Mesa through the rest of the AZL season, then he can go up to Boise for the final week of their season.

C Chadd Krist up from Boise to Peoria. First '12 draftee to get to full season ball. Justin Berg continues his rehab, going from Mesa to Peoria. Gerardo Concepcion to the Peoria DL thanks to the virus he has that forced him to miss his last start.

That's probably undesirable even in Rademacher's case. I'd read that a lot of scouts thought his chances were better as a LHP (hit 95) than as a hitter. He's hitting .406, but no walks and only 3 of his hits for XB. It might be that hitting for high average will just extend his career a utility OFer in the minors, and delay his conversion to pitching.

Interesting that Rosscup is starting. He's been a rather effective pitcher as a pro. His career ERA is 2.45, with 134K/34BB. A K/BB of 3.94 is pretty nice, no? He's allowed only 4 HR in his career, and IIRC 2 or 3 of those came when he was pitching hurt last year, right before he got shut down. 134K/143 IP, but if you substract his draft summer, he's had more K's than IP.

Obviously tiny sample (143 innings total), all in A-ball or below, and I have no idea how serious his injury was. Was it TJ? But if he was to suddenly start reproducing at AA the success he had in his 7 Peoria innings or that he showed pre-injury, he might justify some interest.

OK, now I've jinxed him, he'll probably give up 2HR and get shelled.

Dunston has certainly been a flop thus far. Not surprised he was demoted.

Again, it appears to be interpretation of his tweets and no real confirmation yet.

From what I saw of Dunston, I would not label him as a flop. He was rushed, but I think that he is still someone to keep an eye on. Be patient.

That and the fact that he's 19.

On my phone, but according to Almora he's rooming with Soler in Arizona. That's pretty cool. Who knows maybe they're bring them up together initially to get him acclimated.

well we know which room will have the high class hookers.
