Vitters with his third hit. And he saw a few pitches this at-bat.

Dude is perilously close to batting .300+ (he's at .299)

Iowa has come back from a 13-4 deficit thru 5 innings, and now have the tying and go ahead runs on 1st and 2nd with 2 outs and Brett Jackson up.

And Jackson flied out to Corey Patterson.

lol brett jackson flies out to corey patterson

There's a joke in there somewhere.

Trying to figure it out is giving me a szczur, though.

Jerome Walton thinks that figuring this joke out is a Tuffy.

Pugliese is having a strong outing, reminiscent of some of his Extended Spring Training outings. 4 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K

well that's one way for vitters to stay away from those strikeouts that has everyone so alarmed (with regard to jackson) - see 10 pitches in 6 at bats.

As long as Josh maintains a 1.500 OPS, I'm fine with it!

His production given his underlying performance is a hell of a lot more sustainable.

Vogelbach now 2-2 on the night and batting .452 overall

(extended) spring training stats don't mean anything.

There ya go, a home run for Vogelbach.

I'm also starting to feel better about Jackson's ability to do everything he needs to do in the 2/3rds of his PAs where he doesn't strike out.

I'll find something else to worry about soon enough.
