Baseball Hatred Maps

I see you, Arkansas.

It is going to take a long time before that state is anything but Cardinals territory. The Travs in Little Rock were the AA affiliate forever and every cap you see is a Cards cap. It is where my hatred of them was forged.

I saw more Royals fans than Cardinals fans during my time at U of Arkansas although that could be just the location state-wise and Royals AA team (Northwest Arkansas Naturals) is like 10 mins from campus.

Two most common responses I've gotten on unnamed players are "please be Ortiz" and "please be Jeter."

It's fairly amazing that a grown man can't differentiate between one act being an accident and the other intentional. I really hope they start imposing ridiculous over the top punishments on these bean ball wars.

Major League Baseball is king during prime time at the regional level thus far this season for regional sports networks (RSNs) winning the key prime time slot in the US markets that Nielsen Media Company tracks.

The data bolsters the position that baseball continues to be a solid programming choice for networks in the summer when the major networks are in reruns.
