Holy [expletive], CC. I suppose we are getting to that time of year where everyone is "in the best shape of their life." But this appears to be true, for CC.

"Best shape" does not equal "near death."

Miami Marlins President David Samson will be a castaway on the new season of "Survivor."

The series begins Feb. 26 on CBS. The cast also includes an ex-NFL cheerleader and former NBA All-Star Cliff Robinson. Asked why he thinks he'll win Survivor, Samson, who once convinced Miami to contribute over $350 million to build a new park in the middle of the recession, an accomplishment which eventually cost the city's mayor his job, Samson said, "I always win, because people underestimate me." Samson and 17 other cast members will compete for $1 million in Cagayan, a province in the Philippines.

Jokes on him. He's really going to be on The Running Man.

If someone from that organization is going to be on The Running Man, it'd better be Loria.

That's an interesting choice of words.

This was posted on Reddit. Pretty amazing:

I sync'd up about 70,000 videos with my PITCHfx search tool. You can now run ad-hoc queries against PITCHfx data and watch the video if it's available. For instance, here is all home runs hit on sliders since 2008 when the page loads click a players name and there will be a TV icon on the far right, click that. Here is all home runs hit on fastballs faster than 95MPH.

Edit: For those interested I also run a website called mlbfarm.com. It's more minor league stuff but has player spray charts/heatmaps/videos etc... Here's a player profile on George Springer as an example

Just tried it out. There were 3 right handed pitchers to strike out a batter on a 2 strike 89mph or faster slider . Joe Nathan (who did it twice), Craig Kimbrell, and Jonathan Broxton.

Adam J. Morris @lonestarball

Barry Bonds turned 35 in 1999, Lance Berkman's first season. And Bonds had more bWAR from 1999 on than Berkman did his entire career.

Of course Bonds had a little help along the way.

I don't know how to break it to you, but Barry Bonds doesn't control lightning.
