Josh Donaldson has a [expletive] 7 WAR.

It's an 8.1 rWAR now. 2nd most valuable player in the game, according to B-R.

(I just realized I've been saying bWAR forever and that's not right)

He's gained 1 WAR in a week?

Since NYCF posted that on September 14th, Josh Donaldson has a slash line of .407/.543/.667/1.210

Also I think when he posted that he was speaking broadly. I think his WAR may have been somewhere between 7.3 and 7.6, maybe?

It's almost like that scene in Major League where Dorn's wife catches him on TV going to his hotel room with some floozy. Almost.

Do you mean because every single parent that has held a beer bottle and a baby at the same time has inevitably allowed the baby's lips to touch the beer bottle and every single major leaguer has taken a floozy to his hotel room?

Because I don't think it's fair to say every major leaguer has taken a floozy to his hotel room.

Yeah, I was going by fWAR, not rWAR, and I think it was like 7.1 when I made that post. His fWAR is now 7.8 so yeah, lol he's basically added another win in 10 days.

ETA: Which puts him tied with Miguel Cabrera....and only behind Andrew McCutchen and Mike Trout in all of baseball. Where is my gun?

I was thinking more along the lines of someone catching somebody doing something inappropriate in the background of a baseball playoff celebration on television.

And I was suggesting there really wasn't anything inappropriate going on.

I agree it was probably nothing but a silly gesture, and the bottle was probably empty. Babies teethe, they like to wrap their mouths around funny objects, I get it, the mother was probably just humoring the child... but given what we know about people in society who overreact, I don't see how an image of a mother putting a beer bottle into her infants mouth like it's his/her dinner would go over very well to a lot of the public who might see that.

Only righteous idiots (most of whom probably don't have children themselves) would care.

And there's a lot of those out there. FWIW, I don't care one iota. I just tried to make a joke, sheesh.

No, I get that you don't care personally.

This year, Pitchers going 8innings, giving up 2 runs - a 2.25 ERA - haven't gotten a "Win" a full 25% of the time.
