Volstad has a solid BB/K ratio, Babip, and a very good HR/9 ratio yet b/c of his higher LD%, his ERA is thru the roof. We'll see which trend leads to a change. I'd be more confident if he had better stuff.

I'm not seeing how the higher LD% would lead to a higher ERA unless it was coupled with a high BABIP. It's not like he's giving up a ton of 2Bs and 3Bs (4 and 1 respectively) Volstad's been burnt by the big inning, giving up 10 runs in the span of 3 innings his last 2 starts.
