I want to check after the game to see what the Cubs' BABIP is after this game. It doesn't seem like we're getting a ton of breaks on balls in play, other than Reed Johnson's triple.

I wish Marlon Byrd was still as good as he was when he was on the Rangers in his last season there.

It was .297 coming into today. League average according to B-R (not sure if that's NL or MLB) is .265 so far.

And our pitching was at .236 going into tonight. My persecution complex is not holding up to the cold light of reality.

Good outing for Russell. I'd love for him to keep up what he did out of the pen last year and turn into the new Sean Marshall.

Another negative about MLB.com's Gameday (in addition to the annoying audio ads) is that you can't go back and see the pitch locations of past at-bats anymore. It still shows you the pitches but in the past, you could see where they were also.

Ian finally gets rewarded for hitting the ball on the screws three times.

Stewart has really been hitting the ball hard so far this season. I really like what the season could hold for him.

The defense has been very nice too.

LOL. Roenicke so worried about Soto-Byrd-PH that he can't leave Parra in with one on and a four run lead.

I may be way off here, but wasn't he one of the rare offensive players who's splits were better away from Coors as opposed to at home there?

That pick he made behind the bag yesterday was a fantastic play.

Pretty close to even, iirc.

.768 OPS at home

.737 OPS on the road

LOL. Roenicke's bullpen management this inning has been terrible.

Just noticed Cubs pitchers combined to strike out 10 tonight.

Makes me nostalgic for the multi-year run where we set a strikeout record every single year it seemed like.

Led the majors for something like six or seven straight years.
