So he really was 'Creaned'. Between this, the 'tweet', and Lyles opening up it's been a rough couple weeks for Tommy.

At this point, I'm ready to concede that this was a Creaning. But hey, it was either this or have Austin Etherington have an unfortunate "accident" involving a lead footed campus bus driver. :-"

Who's playing guard this year? Is Creek actually going to be back? Hulls, Oladipo, Abell, Ferrell and what?

Everything I've heard and read indicates that Creek will be healthy enough to play, yes.

No Jordy Hulls was going to pay for half the team's scholarships.

That is how we are making room for Gary Harris. \:D/

Come on, let me slow play that one from time to time.

So has there been anything on where Patterson is looking at going now? Rivals lists offers from Illinois, OSU, Purdue, Michigan and Minnesota and there would be nothing to prevent him from going to another Big Ten school now, right?

Correct, he can go anywhere.

His AAU coach, Chris Hawkins, said Thursday that a number of schools have reached out, including Purdue, Louisville, Missouri, Ohio State, Illinois, IUPUI, Memphis, Providence, Villanova, Xavier, Lamar, Southern Miss, Wright State, Dayton, Nevada and Florida Gulf Coast.

Anyone else see what happened over at the Illinois scout board?

go on

The mods were all fired. New man appointed. Apparently a mod went crazy in a premium thread.

Posted
what kind of crazy?

Not exactly sure, I stopped being a premium member once they started censoring everything. I just heard that a mod went off the rails and now scout brought someone else in and changed the entire mod group.

Patterson's going to prep school. We don't know at the moment (and may never know) if he didn't like the offers being presented to him, the schools suddenly cooled on him, or he couldn't end up qualifying at the places he wanted to go.

Well this works out great. He has a year to get his academics in order and then Crean will have a spot waiting for him in Bloomington.

I kind of doubt it. Crean is already working on a 6 man class for 2013 that would not include a spot for Patterson. Unless of course Austin Etherington goes pro, I guess that could open up an extra spot. :hello:

Any early word on which of the 6 won't be allowed on campus come August 2013?

Yeah, Patterson won't be going to IU.

Even if he gets his grades up to Indiana's lofty standards?

Roth said even though Crean didn’t directly address his status, he did tell Roth to use him as a reference for any job applications. He said he appreciated that, but it also allowed him to read between the lines.

You kind of put one and one together there,” Roth said.

So Crean didn't even have a man to man sit down with Roth. What a weirdo.

I'm not really sure what Matt expected to happen given there was no available scholarship for him. He got both his Bachelor's and Masters degrees in 4 years and was part of the Senior Day ceremonies this past spring.
