Looking through my closet the other day, I discovered a Kent Mercker autographed ball (!!!), a Sergio Mitre (I think, the sig is hard to make out) autographed ball, and a Greg Maddux Chiefs figurine. I assume I got those from NSBB though I have no recollection of how I won them

I once tried to shake Johnny Bench's hand at the civil rights game in Memphis and he blew me off. Johnny is kind of a dick. He was hawking striker medical (I think he got a knee replacement with one of their metal and plastic knees).

Kerry Wood waved at me after I told him "we love you".

I hope like hell you gave this its due diligence: A small but meaningful alter no larger then 1/2 the size of your abode complete with prayer wheels, incense, dried flower offerings and a kneeling pad. Don't piss off this baseball deity.

I caught a ball during batting practice and got it signed by Carlos Perez and Steve Kline. \:D/

Got the immortal Chuck Carr to autograph a program for me. Also picked up the sought after Felix Jose autograph once.

But yeah my best autograph from Wrigley is my scorecard signed by Ferguson Jenkins.

Fergie Jenkins was signing at the ST games we attended. They said if you brought him a foul ball or HR ball, he'd sign for free. As we walked in, a vendor gave me an old beat up ball for my young nephew and said it was a HR from bp.

So near the end of the game, I asked Fergie to sign it. He gave me a hard time when I told him the vendor told me it was a HR ball but he eventually signed it for free (at one point, I said "they even use new white balls at spring training!?!) A little hard to read over the scuffs and dirt.

I gave it back to my nephew and knowing him, it'll end up in the Beast's collection by summer.
