The filter really ruined that for you.

"Who is this RG3 guy you guys keep talking about?" Umenyiora said. "You talking about Bob Griffin? You guys are giving him a cool nickname already and everything. When he does anything in the NFL we're gonna call him RG3. Right now he's Bob Griffin."

When wide receiver Mike Wallace wants to report to Steelers training camp, maybe defensive end Brett Keisel could swing past and pick him up. And Keisel's ride could pick up Wallace, as in off the ground.

Keisel drove an orange Kubota front-loading tractor onto the St. Vincent College campus when he arrived to camp Wednesday.

A friend allowed him to use it, and Keisel drove it 20 miles while getting some strange looks from passing drivers.

Usually known for his beard, Keisel said the idea of arriving in a tractor came from his youth, when he worked on farms in Wyoming.

"I love driving these things because it reminds me of my childhood," Keisel told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "I grew up swathing hay and plowing fields and planting fields. I grew up in Wyoming driving one of these bad boys working on a farm. Hard work pays off. You have to deal with adversity, all the things we have to deal coming into this camp."

I just realized that Peyton Manning's backup in Denver is Caleb Hanie.

Didn't they draft Peyton's backup?

He'll almost assuredly be the 3rd string QB.

Is this the most Wisconsin thing ever?

Packers TE DJ Williams says he came into camp stronger because of cow-wrestling:

“That works out real good, especially if you get them with the baby calf, they’re really aggressive,” Williams said, via Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “That really helped. It starts out as cow-tipping but once they start charging, you have to go to defense mode.”

Williams was asked a number of times if he was joking, but stuck to his story, adding that cow-tipping had fringe benefits besides getting one ready for camp.

“I guess it’s three things: for a good time, for football, obviously, and it’s a good way to impress a girl,” he said. “It’s very impressive. Usually, you say, ‘Let’s go cow tipping’ and they feel it’s a good rush when the cows start chasing you and stuff.

“They think it’s to impress them, but I’m really working on my football stuff at the same time. Two birds, one stone.”

This is the most pompous [expletive] I've ever heard.

The Daily Show had this as their moment of zen the other night. Oh man...hilarious...

"For me, it's a reminder," Jones said. "I've been here 23 years. I've been here when it was glory hole days and I've been here when it wasn't. And, so, having said that, I want me some glory hole. So I have that perspective."

"Glory hole" is a term used in the oil rig drilling business, where Jerry made his money.

Still [expletive] funny though.

Chris Kluwe did a Q&A with deadspin commentators yesterday. He's pretty funny.

Vikings fan here 1 Don't [expletive] punt to Hester anymore kick that [expletive] 20 rows into the stands for all I care made me sick to see him set that return record against us 2 How could you let Adrian eat anything without tasting it for poisons first like Hagen does for Maximus in Gladiator?

Ooh, the first "Don't punt it to Hester" comment of the night! In the interests of not giving the PR people an aneurysm all I'm going to say is "It's quite a bit harder than it looks".

:D

What's it like being the last line of defense against Devin Hester? How much anger/frustration is there as he takes another one back, and how much do you secretly appreciate his abilities?

Chris Kluwe 10 hours ago SHARE

He is an amazeballs returner, and I can't really get mad if the best returner to ever play the game takes one back for a touchdown. It'd be like getting mad if Phelps beat you in a swimming race; he's just on another level.

If punting was duet sport in the Olympics...who would be your partner?

Chris Kluwe 10 hours ago SHARE

Brad Maynard. Great dude, and one of the best punters in Chicago's shitty ass elements I've ever seen.
