Has Toshrio Davis signed? I read that some LSU event had him up on their board as a signee.

I think he has a 10:30 announcement. The people over at 247sports were asked not to post anything about it yesterday by Davis HS coach and himself, so it sounds like something is up. I know that Diaz, and Bo Davis were at his house over the weekend and still pushing up. Still its not smart to bet against the cajan mafia.

No Poole, Neal won't decide for a couple of weeks. At this point, any surprises are more likely good than bad. Just get the WC kids signed and call it a day. Love the high end talent in this class.

Shephard and Ferguson will probably need to play pretty early on.

And we lost Greenberry. To [expletive] Houston. What a stark contrast the close of last season was to the close of this one. If only we could combine Weis' ability to land offensive talent with BK's ability to land defensive talent.

Didn't see that. Kelly did say he can coach offense, but he needs athletes for defense. It's showed in his first two classes. Next year's class will be more important, given the number of scholarships.

Thomas Johnson is an Aggie! Takes away some of the sting of Addison leaving.

He's a great pickup. Hopefully Matt Davis improves from his senior season to get him the ball.

Rivals is saying that Michigan grabbed someone in the Top 250 who no one thought they were seriously in on...and then say I have to pay to find out who that is. Any idea who they are referring to?

Very happy with The Blue's class so far. Linemen heavy, which is exactly what they need.

Butters, do you know anything about Simon Goines? He seems raw but talented (big). UCLA needs tackles in this class so he's a good flip in that sense.

I was glad they didn't fill out this class so they would have more scholarships for next season. But 16/17 this year is too low.

It's days like this that I can sympathize with Saban signing 35 recruits every year.

Seems athletic, good hands, quick feet, though his footwork probably needs improvement. Sometimes gets too high from what I've seen, but he's going to be good.

There were three guys I really wanted who were borderline Mizzou guys (outside of DGB of course) - Goines, Jake Meador and Michael Onuoha. Struck out on all three - sweet!

Can't complain about a class where you get the #1 player in the country, but we lost a lot of guys late which hurt us, especially on both lines. Should have a big class next year.

Dennis Norfleet. 4* RB. Check out MGoBlog.

Thanks. Sounds like a great get for UCLA.

Apparently WR Jordan Payton has flipped to UCLA. In the last 24 hours, he was committed to Cal, announced he was going to Washington and then flipped to UCLA. He also was committed to USC his junior year. Geez.

Auburn's signing day has been somewhat disappointing. we missed on Eddie Goldman, Ronald Darby, Kwon Alexander, Leonard Williams, Deon Bush. we're sitting at 11 on Rivals team rankings, but the quality of each commit is pretty high as we only have 18 signed so far. Stefon Diggs and Alex Kozan have yet to make a decision, and we made the top 2 for each of those guys..believe Florida gets Diggs and Iowa gets Kozan though.

He was also talking about committing to Michigan a few months ago. Have fun with him!

Not a lot of star power for KU's class, but I'm pretty happy with it.

A few JUCO AA, a bunch of DL and DBs. Weis said he still expects several more 5th year transfers in May. Hopefully he can bridge the gap from now until some of his real (and hopefully better) recruiting classes come in.

So what are your thoughts on Matt Davis? Dude seems like he might have a screw or two lose, or just a lot of anger issues.

Garnett, Murphy and Peat all headed to Stanford. What an incredible o-line class.

Also, FSU has gotten ESPN's #1 DT, #1 DE and #1 QB. Sick.

It was a great day for us. Having only 20 or so spots available and finishing with the #2 overall class (with 2 kickers included) is amazing. The star power is off the charts; I hope they can live up to it.

Losing Fowler was a big blow, but even worse was how it was done. Apparently, last night he called to confirm that he was going to be in the class, which led to us telling Leonard Williams to look elsewhere. Then, out of nowhere, he flips to UF today - and we've passed on Leonard Williams, a more than serviceable replacement. Rumors that his slow paperwork was related to this (not sure if true).

Either way, it was a great day. Darby was icing on the cake.

I don't follow recruiting on a day to day basis, but I thought OSU was having a very mediocre recruiting class. Did Meyer's 6 weeks of recruiting really bump them ahead of a good Michigan class and nearly into the top 5?

Yep.

He's not a great coach (relies heavily on his assistants), but he's a hell of a recruiter.

I'm pretty happy with Tennessee's signing day. The overall ranking is disappointing (18th on Rivals is our highest), but it was a pretty defensive line heavy class - 5 Dlinemen and 1 kicker out of 21 total players - which probably pulled it down a tad from where it could be. Getting Cordarrelle Patterson is pretty exciting, as is holding onto Davante Bourque. I'm really excited about Daniel McCullers (6-6, 390) and Danny O'Brien (6-3, 300).

I'd be really excited about this class if we could have held onto Dalton Santos and Otha Peters, but we desperately needed defensive linemen and offensive skill position guys and we did both of those (Patterson, Jason Croom, Drae Bowles, and Pig Howard is a really nice WR crew to go along with Justin Hunter and Da'Rick Rogers).
