So what? If he goes 30 picks after you contemplated him let him go and draft a better player. It's horrible management to get yourself wedded to questionable players enough to not risk losing them. It's bad tunnel vision scouting.

you guys are all drunk.

Hardin isn't a reach in rd 3. He wasn't who I wanted, or who the Bears would have benefited from the most by a long shot, but he wasn't a reach. As far as jcf's diatribe on tunnel vision: well no chit.

Let Massie fall to the Bears in the fourth. Pulease!

I'm not sure he's the left tackle people are hoping for, but in the fourth round... hell yea- worth a shot. Hope he falls.

Other candidates for O-Line.

Zebrie Sanders, OT - Florida St

James Brown, OG/OT - Troy

David Molk, C - Michigan

Ben Jones, C - Georgia

Brandon Mosley, OT - Auburn

There should be a handful of interesting candidates at CB. There are a few good NT players, but probably more 3-4 guys. Then of course many good WR still around, but that would be kind of silly to grab another guy. Will be interesting since they won't pick again until the sixth. I think they're either going to trade up to ensure they get the guy they want or trade down to get another late pick.

How did #Bears feel about Alshon Jeffery? Liked him better than Justin Blackmon & Michael Floyd in several areas. No joke. “We feel that Alshon has the best hands in the draft,” Phil Emery said. “We feel he is the best at adjusting to the ball. We feel he is the best sideline and end zone catcher in the draft. He’s dynamic with the ball in his hands. He’s a big man, he’s strong, he’s tough. He doesn’t go down easy. He’s a good route runner for the routes they put him in.

Hardin was more of a reach than McClellin or Jeffery, but not a horrible pick or anything. Emery seems to buy into the same crap Angelo did with our OL. He better address it in the 4th.

Pretty excited about Jeffery actually. After his Pro Day there were rumors he could sneak into the 1st. Apparently ran a 4.38 his first 40 attempt and is now down to 213, which makes him leaner than Floyd or Hill, two guys with a similar height. If he keeps the weight off this should be an awesome pick.

CB is where the value is in the 4th. Unless Massie falls, I don't see any of the other guys, maybe Sanders, contributing in 2012. My gut tells me we take Keensn Robinson in the 4th.

McClellin was a 5th round talent who shot up the draft boards. Hardin was taken where he was expected to be, in the 3rd.

no way Hardin was a bigger reach

Maybe in 20 minutes you'll feel differently again...

Initial Hardin reaction:

another [expletive] reach

wtf

20 minutes later:

Hardin isn't a reach in rd 3. He wasn't who I wanted, or who the Bears would have benefited from the most by a long shot, but he wasn't a reach. As far as jcf's diatribe on tunnel vision: well no chit.

Think about if Jeffrey keeps his weight under control (which he will, period). Cutler now has two top, big targets who can go get the ball.

Good. Out of college, Haynes looked like he could destroy a dozen thugs in an alley. He wound up a neutered [expletive] cat.

Sign me up for the opposite dynamic. I'm all for accounting boy who turns into NFL killer. Give me some of that :)

It's a pretty bad FS class, as you can see with Hardin being projected Rounds 3-4 despite being ranked 2nd. You can also find draft boards who think of McClellin as an easy 1st rounder. This same source has him projected as such. Do you have anything to backup your "5th round talent" claim?

Even if Hardin's not a reach, it's quite hard to get excited about a special teamer in Round 3, especially with OL still being a rather glaring need.
