Bears need to go best player available (sans QB and RB) in every round this year. We're actually in decent shape draft-wise where we dont have to focus on one or two positions in the first round. We've got some decent depth.

Looking at the roster, the Bears bring back every starter who started most of last year, other than Brandon Marshall replacing Roy Williams. So, there's no position where the Bears definitely need a starter, though it would be wise to get a couple (#2 WR, OL, SLB).

If you look at the Bears depth right now, the only positions where the Bears aren't 4 deep with capable players are DT, OT, and maybe LB and Safety. This is not counting QB and RB where 4 capable players is unnecessary. I'm starting to think DT may be the pick really early. Hearing rumors that the Bears really like Brockers in the 1st if he's there at 19. I know they love Fletcher Cox, but he won't be there.

Yeah, the Brockers rumors are pretty interesting.

Ugggh. The only thing Emery hasn't done this offseason that I hate: not resigning Okoye. Now we need 2 DL.

Brockers looks the part, but it seems to me we really could have avoided the need

I like the flexibility they have this year. There are definitely certain positions to focus on, but they can sit back and draft BPA at any of those positions and if there is a standout that slips through, they can nab him.

I wonder how hard the Bears will be pushing to trade Forte if he hasn't signed his contract by draft day?

Bears signed Geno Hayes.

Apparently this guy dated a young Michael Irvin relative:

Hayes was allegedly stabbed in the back of the head with a pair of scissors by his 19 year old girlfriend on March 9, 2009.

I guess not bad depth. Better than trying to find some undrafted free agent to fill the spot. Hope he can contribute on special teams.

1 week from the draft!

i swear, it feels like it's been moved back like 3 times. for some reason , i thought it was this weekend.

It won't be real to me until I walk by radio city Wednesday and see all the degenerates camping out overnight.

It used to always be around the third week of April, because it always fell near my birthday as a kid. Lately its been the 4th week of April.

Theres not many spots Emery hasn't addressed with depth. Contrast that to last year where we were pretty much forced to keep UDFA.

We're getting a DL within the first two picks, no doubt about it. Maybe even both if the value lines up. Everything else is gonna be based on value I think, because while we have some depth all around, we could use a difference maker in any spot.

The sooner the draft cannot distract me from finals, the better.

It feels like you've been college for at least 8 years.

Hahaha took a year off after graduation to travel and annoy SSR (apparently), then sadly I chose to go to law school.

why would anyone go to law school in this day and age?

I honestly wish I had a good answer to that.

There's a special section reserved in sulley's gulags for college kids whining about finals and homework.

Or there oughta be.

I like to imagine that Sulley's gulag has no special sections.
