Either amount is more than enough.

And that's meatball opinion I was talking about. He could easily get more than 20 mil on the open market, and he's knows it and is frustrated..especially considering his hands are tied.

How is it "meatball?" I'm saying those amounts are more than enough from some stupid "he's a millionaire" standpoint; I'm saying it from the standpoint that he's not a FA and the Bears have more pressing financial obligations than trying to match some other team's dumb money contract. DON'T USE MEATBALL UNLESS YOU COME CORRECT.

Seriously. It's more than enough because RBs shouldn't get paid more than that. Not because some tool thinks that his shitty life justifies criticizing the salaries of athletes.

Most of us are concerned with cap allocation, not some criticism of the salaries of athletes.

I think it's somewhat hilarious that there is a perception that Forte is treating this so horribly bad because of a tweet.

The bears offered him less then what Frank Gore got. I don't see an issue with him stomping his feet for more, especially if he can get it.

Can he get it though?

.

I'm guessing he will

good for him. he won't get it from us. we'll both be better off.

I'm coming at it from more of an occupy wall street anti 1% angle. That money should go to teachers and fire fighters and to keeping tickets low so people who really love the team can watch the games. I don't want to live in a world where my son can't afford season tickets.

#Bears RB Marion Barber has decided to retire from the NFL after 7 seasons.

didn't we owe him money if we cut him?

They owed him a workout bonus if they kept him through the summer

I wonder if the Bears knew he was gonna retire and that's why they signed Bush? Or if they signed Bush and he decided to retire?

He always had nagging injuries. Wonder if he had something chronic that was getting worse.

Denver sure loves ex-Bears QB's

Former Chicago Bears reserve quarterback Caleb Hanie visited the Denver Broncos on Thursday, according to a league source.

Sadly, that's not the first thing I remember about his year with the Bears.

I wonder if this changes Forte's thinking at all, if he thinks the Bears knew about this when they signed Bush. Probably not because everyone speculated that Barber was gonna get cut anyways, but who knows.

Well yeah, of course.

Where were you when IT happened?

I'd still like to keep Okoye. Doesn't appear as if the line is a priority, so McNeill or Bell doesn't seem realistic. I do think they'll replace Omiyale with Herrera as a swingman. It'd be great to go get Andre Carter or Hawthorne, at this stage though, price must be getting lower by the day.

I could have been anywhere, doing anything, I don't remember. I blacked out from anger. I very likely threw a tantrum on NSBB, because that's just what I do.

I nearly crashed my car.

I'm ready to start the Forte/Bush tandem. I think Forte's angst will blow over & we'll wind up with either a great pick, or a nice combo @ RB.
