I think the hangup is that it's freaking Buffalo. He's gotta convince the fiancee that it's worth the extra $$ to move there.

He's gotta convince the fiancee it's worth going to Buffalo 7 times a year. No reason to move there.

5. AJ Jenkins, WR

you're confident he'll drop that far? he seems like a rd 2 pick to me

most places have him as a late 5th rounder. why? i have no idea.

I'd see him as a steal in the 4th, a possible late 2nd, and decent value pick in the 3rd

I'm confused.

Doesn't seem too outrageous to me. He got half his yards in games against Northwestern, Indiana, and Arkansas St, and he's not a big guy who has a ton of projectability. The NFL is littered with burners like him.

Michael Bush is coming in for a visit? Waaay too expensive to be a backup for us.

I like the idea of going away from the featured back idea and more toward a shared responsibility at the position, but not when you are going to be spending that much money on the 1st guy in the first place.

If you bring in Bush, that essentially rules out Forte getting a fixed deal. I think they would just draft a new RB next year.

Actually, if you bring in a costly backup RB, it may make it more important to sign him to a more cap friendly extension instead of the one year franchise #.

AJ Jenkins reminds me a lot of Denarius Moore who came out of Tennessee last year. He had just average height and bulk. Good speed, but not a completely electrifying blazer ala DeSean Jackson. I think Jenkins has the potential to have a similar impact early on in his career. I think he's a better route runner than he gets credit for. Has better hands than people think. And can play outside or in the slot in the NFL.

Very weird that they are looking at Bush. I would think there would be some teams that would want him as a starter.

I think it could almost be done with the Forte negotiations in mind. Hey Matt we are not afraid to replace you. Look here's Michael Bush.

Not that Bush is in Forte's caliber, but him and a 1st or 2nd round rookie RB would work for many teams.

Or a 3rd, or a 4th, or an undrafted free agent.

Cutler says we're not done adding receivers. Of course, he wants Royal.

Could have sworn Royal already signed with the Skins. Hmm.

Update, 9:20 p.m.: Free agent wide receiver Eddie Royal has not agreed to terms with the Washington Redskins, as earlier reported, after the two sides had a breakdown in talks.

According to two people with knowledge of the situation, the team believed it had a deal in place to land Royal. But other teams showed late interest, putting a deal with Washington on hold.
