He said a lot of positive things about Martz in public but supposedly didn't actually mean all of it. Perhaps he's saying the same stuff about Bates publicly, or at least hopefully. If they are directly going against his wishes by not even interviewing guys he likes....., well, that would suck.

He did work with Moss in Minnesota. So, far Tice is saying all the right things about the Bears offense. Still question his execution of it, but it appears he "gets it".

Rotoworld quote, citing a Sun Times article. It does sound like Tice making a personnel decision, but that is just the wording I'd guess. Also, it's pretty evident that all the experienced coaches have some say so in personnel. Tice all but hand-picked Carimi. Martz literally hand-picked Enderle. I'm guessing Marinelli had a lot to do with the targeting of Paea also.

Read under draft rumor mill on WalterFootball the Bears plan on being extremely aggessive, because quite a few may be on the hot seat. One rumor is Bears making a Falcon type move up(giving up 2013 1st) to grab Justin Blackmon. AND pursuing Jermichael Finley as well. Good lord, I think I'd be speechless.

The Bears clearly need a huge upgrade to the WR, TE and DE positions.

Pass. The guy is undersized though very fast and hes a headcase.

 

Jay needs a big target WR.

I don't know that they need to trade up for Jeffery, when all is said and done. He looks like the type of WR who will do poorly at the Combine and could easily slip.

like i said. AJ Jenkins isn't a huge target, but he's really fast, very nice athlete, runs crisp routes, has great hands, can run after the catch, and just has a great feel for the game. he's going to be an excellent receiver in the NFL.

 

we could have him in the 3rd. i'd take him over anyone but blackmon in this year's draft.

Finley on the Bears with Cutler and in a offense that actually uses the tight end would suck.
