I doubt that it will be epic, something along the lines of 27-13 Green Bay. New Orleans has one of the worst defenses in the NFL and I don't think they can score enough points at Green Bay to keep up.

Green Bay's defense isn't exactly tops.

Sure, they're pretty bad, but I'd think the conditions give them something of an advantage.

Ok, but holding the Saints to a single TD? GB might have an weather advantage, but I think it's being oversold. Both teams are very similar. And GB hasn't played in the cold this season either. It's been unseasonably warm. I think the elements will affect both teams.

You know they already played this year and it pretty much came down to the last play...

The weather will be a factor that should help Green Bay but you're crazy if you think the Saints offense will only score a single TD against the 31st worst defense in the NFL.

You have to factor that Green Bay pulled Rogers how many times in the 4th qtr this year? While the Saints chose to run up the score for the sake of stats(see the Colts game)

Brees didn't play at all in the 4th against the Colts, was out with 12:50 left in the game against the Vikings, and was out of the game with 10:41 left against the Giants.

Rodgers was out against the Broncos with 7:46 left, out with 10:59 left against Vikings, and didn't play the entirety of the 4th against the Raiders and was out of the 4th against the Bears.

So that's not a very valid argument.

And this talk about running the score up in the Colts game...hell the Saints didn't even attempt a pass in the entire 4th qtr. In the Vikings game they only attempted one pass after 12 mins left.

Brees also was in the game when his team was trailing and no shot at winning. See the Rams game. He kept his TD streak alive with a meaningless late 4th quarter TD.

Well Rodgers played the entire Chiefs game which they had no chance of winning

Oh that's right, you're the guy who thinks QB's should take a knee when they are losing. I'm sure Rodgers would have said "eff it we're losing, lemme do the discount double check on my knees and run the clock out."

That's not really true. The Packers defense had time to get the ball back for the offense late in the 4th down 5 points if they forced a 3 and out. They didn't and the game ended.

Seriously. It's one thing to bitch if the Saints were AHEAD and went and scored a TD...however, they were losing. I cannot recall seeing an NFL team that is losing just run the clock out when they have a minute left and are in enemy territory. Doesn't matter if they were down 50 at that point.

As a Packers fan I want nothing to do with the Saints at all. I have no idea how they will stop them.

Play him outside

Excellent point.

If the Saints played the Packers in the Dome, I would take the Saints as my pick. But, with that game being in January in Lambeau, I think the Packers would win.

This was also the argument made yesterday on ESPN radio. I believe it was Linda Cohn filling in for Scott Van Pelt.

As always seems to be the case (with the exception of Doug Gottlieb), I enjoyed the show more listening to the "fill-in" host.

Wow, it takes a really Einstein to make that point. Hold the presses folks: the Packers would play better at Lambeau in the freezing ass cold than a team that plays indoors and lives in the South.

I suppose its necessary given this reply to point out that I was merely making an observation that I had also heard this point on the radio that same day. I was in no way saying it was an earth-shattering development. It's just a point that can sometimes get overlooked in a culture that gets tied up in stats. Living in the south, its sometimes easy to forget (or appreciate) what a factor this can be to a teams offense. Especially one that hasn't exactly set the world on fire when playing on the road.

I guess the bigger reason for the post was to state how much I really don't care for Van Pelt, Cowherd, Golic, or the vast majority of espn radio talking heads.

I wasn't referring to you thinking that it was a big deal, just making fun of the talking heads I suppose.

The only sports radio guy I can listen to is Chris Russo fwiw. Dude is like Rain Man with stats.

Mad dog?

He's more like a useless trivia expert.

He entertains me and doesn't take a break every thirty seconds ergo he is listenable.

I mean he's better than Francesca, but really??

Few are worse than that guy. How that bore actually has a job is astonishing. The only thing he is good for are all the YouTube vids of callers trolling his show.
