Now come on. Those of us that think MJ was the GOAT are well aware of his [expletive]-ishness.

From the actual article:

The Chicago Bulls are exploring avenues to acquire Los Angeles Lakers forward Pau Gasol before Thursday's trade deadline, according to sources close to the situation.

The Bulls have long hoped to wedge themselves into the trade running for Orlando Magic star Dwight Howard, but sources told ESPN.com that Howard's well-chronicled lack of interest in a trade to Chicago has prompted the Bulls to switch their focus to Gasol in advance of Thursday's 3 p.m. deadline.

Sources say that the Lakers, however, have limited interest in the players Chicago would be offering, starting with Bulls forward Carlos Boozer.

So the Bulls would have to recruit at least one more team to the discussions to have any shot at Gasol, sources said, with the Lakers known to be insistent on getting back at least one certifiable star if they consent to the trade the Spaniard. Sources say that the Lakers, furthermore, continue to talk to other teams about Gasol in advance.

Derrick Rose was rear-ended on the Kennedy Expressway. Word is that he's uninjured.

Imagine that. Was he driving slow? I remember when I used to live in Chicago and saw MJ driving around, he would always be going twice as fast as everyone else.

KC Johnson has been tweeting this evening that Derrick Rose has some sort of injury (not sure what type). This is unrelated to the car accident and Thibs said he expects Rose to play tomorrow, but KC apparently observed him limping coming out of the Bulls film session.

Just what the season needs, another lingering Rose injury.

Replacing Boozer with Gasol? :beg:

Unfortunately, I'm not getting my hopes up. Nobody is doing any deal like that unless the pot is sweetened considerably.

Was he washing his truck?

DRose's latest tweak is sore groin, sources said. Suffered fender bender on way to doctor. Status in doubt for Heat.

Great, he caught Rip Hamilton disease. Could be ugly with Rose, Deng, Rip and CJ out against the Heat. The way the Bulls seem to operate "in doubt" = definitely out.

BTW, in a probably related move, Mike James was signed for the 3rd time this year today.

Oh, FFS; he's not coaching a bunch of brittle old men (besides Rip), you loon.

then why are they all so brittle this season?

i'm not outright blaming him for injuries, i'm saying he's being careless and not helping. he jerked around rose when his back was messed up, he still plays deng through the 4th quarter even if its a blowout despite his wrist, etc etc.

just an idea: if deng is half broken and derrick rose keeps getting broken, maybe you should take it easy on them just to be safe. you know, like maybe let them rest when they're up by 20 with 5 minutes to go. or if deng's wrist is starting to bother him, maybe sit him against a crappy team every once in a while instead of it getting to the point where deng has to tell the media that the pain level is too high and he has to take a week off.
