The Bears incompetent offense looks to extend Tim Tebow's winning streak. Chicago are 3.5 point dogs after last week's absurd 8 point line. Things are going to have to change if they want to pull out this win, and a loss here pretty much ends any hope of the playoffs.

Really, they need to win every non-GB game left on the schedule.

And hope Detroit can stumble against a team like Oakland, who looked awful yesterday). Its gonna be tough.

According to Coolstandings, the Bears now have the lowest odds between the 3 teams (Atlanta Detroit Chicago) so things have definitely changed in 2 weeks.

At least if the Bears season continues to go down in a fiery fireball of fire, it will be for the benefit of Timmy.

Yep. If the Bears aren't making the playoffs, I want the NFL to explode. If Tebow wins this one, I'm hoping he wins about 7 more in a row.

Don't think it ends hope for the playoffs. If the Bears beat Seattle and Minnesota like they are supposed to, then need the Lions to lose in Oakland, which is clearly very possible despite the Raiders debocle yesterday.

Of course, then you're talking about a 9-7 Bears team and you let the Giants/Cowboys back into the picture.

If somehow Tebow can heal the thumb of Cutler..if only...

If Tebow went up to you and said 'I can heal Jay Cutler's finger so that it is immediately 100% and just as strong as it was before the injury. I will do this in exchange for a guaranteed win this Sunday", would you do it?

That's actually interesting. With Hanie, I don't think we win another game. Even with a healthy Cutler, the win in Green Bay is probably damn near impossible. So with a healthy Jay we get two wins over Seattle and Minny..9-7..yeah I would do it. At this point I see us going 7-9 without Cutler.

If all you get out of Cutler being back is a 9-7 season, then you are just opening him up for further damage behind this line with extremely limited upside in the short-term. At that point I'd rather he just heal on his own without any voodoo.

Yeah, exactly this.

Absolutely.

Please win, Bears.

Our Lord and Savior, healing Denver's prodigal Son, is hardly Voodoo.

Screw ESPN for even reporting this trash. I'm interested in playing for the Bears, too. I think we both get calls around the same time.

http://espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/story/_/id/7319269/source-brett-favre-listen-chicago-bears-called

Seriously, wtf is this [expletive] garbage?

The Chicago Bears' dire situation at quarterback hasn't pointed the club in the direction of future Hall of Famer Brett Favre, but a source familiar with the quarterback said Favre would listen if the Bears made a pitch.

The Bears haven't contacted the 42-year-old Favre, who has spent a good portion of his recent days hunting, and it's highly doubtful the team is interested. Even if the sides eventually touch base, it's unclear whether the Bears could lure Favre out of retirement. The source said Favre would listen, but his answer could be that he'll stay retired. The source also said Favre has been working out and staying in shape.

"Retired quarterback says he probably won't play for QB challenged team but says its impolite to not listen. QB challeneged team is doubtful to even be interested"

Hope they ask Vinny Testeverde whether he'll listen next.

Tebow winning the superbowl while ruining a perfect 19-0 season for GB is the most entertaining outcome to the NFL season i can imagine, short of the Bears winning of course.

"As far as when, I'll just say we're still evaluating him," Smith said. "He looked pretty good this morning. ... There is concern."

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Forte plays this Sunday.

I'm starting to lean that way too. It's the same injury Julius Peppers has been playing with, and he hasn't missed a game. Granted, Peppers doesn't have to make sharp cuts, but he definitely changes direction a lot. If it wasn't for his contract situation, I would put it as high as 80% that Forte plays this week. Right now, I'd say a little less than 50/50 that he plays, but that's a lot higher than the 0% that most people have assumed.
