DO NOT PUNT THE BALL You run it all the way back to the end zone and take the safety. Drives me nuts when teams just give away the ball when they don't have to.

I don't think the punter is fast enough to out run everyone in 9 seconds. Then they get the ball in your territory with a shot to win it.

You don't need to use the punter for that. He can also throw the ball out of bounds and waste a few seconds if he feels like it. Lots of options.
