to be fair to the voters, nobody really wanted to put them in the top 10, but they kept refusing to lose games and teams ahead of them kept losing, so eventually they kind of had to make their way in there. they were like a 2 TD underdog this week, which pretty much speaks to their true talent level.

So looking at this logically, there is like no way that UM can win their Division (i forget which one UM is in). Right now UM/MSU/Neb are tied with 1 loss, UM's is to MSU, MSU's is to Nebraska, and Nebraska's is to Wisconsin. Michigan state has 4 pretty easy games to finish the year. MIN, @ IOWA, IND, @ NW. Can't see them losing. If Michigan wins out, they will be tied with MSU and of course lose the tiebreaker. Since Nebraska still has to play UM, there cant be a 3 way tie with 1 loss. Dammit.

 

Hope people like Michigan State vs. Penn State in the first Big Ten title game

does it make you feel better or worse to know that TT is losing 31-7 at home to iowa state and a redshirt freshman qb making his first career start?

you can't see michigan state losing at iowa or at northwestern? have you not followed michigan state football before this year?

 

psu still has games against nebraska, @ohio st and @wisconsin. they'll lose to wisconsin, so if the badgers don't lose another game they'll win the division. psu could easily lose 2 or all 3 of those games.

And if you just look at the game on paper, especially pre-season, and based on the same K-State team from last year, that result was to be expected. I don't think K-State is good but what is the point of trashing an average team? Obviously they aren't a top 10 team but they also hadn't lost yet, so I guess the Big 12 just sucks outside of OU and OSU (and it really does).

If it comes down to a choice, though, I'd rather see Illinois basketball get the investment in a great head coach.

What in the [expletive] happened to the Badgers over the past two weeks?

 

Teams with a pulse showed up on the schedule?

 

They handled Nebraska with ease.

 

Part of the problem this team has is that it wasn't road-tested heading into East Lansing last week. They played one good team and a bunch of cream puffs at home (ETA: along with a game against NIU at Soldier Field). The moment this team leaves Madison and enters hostile territory, they're vulnerable and sloppy.

 

The Badgers can still pull this off, but they're back on their heels again.
