All he said on compensation is he knows it's not gonna be Szczur, McNutt, or Jackson.

And it's definitely minor leaguers.

Also no (presumably - additional) money going back.

Tommy Tom's a [expletive] pimp.

I think the biggest news is the person who posted that levine said baseball money might be 200 million instead of 150. I'll believe it when I see it...but it still didn't even get a single reply?

That just seems too weird to contemplate. Without knowing exactly what he said, did he mean they eventually hope to get it to 200 million with new revenue streams.

Because if not, BRB I have to order my Cubs Pujols, Wilson and Sabathia jerseys.

The Score is butthurt that they are getting scooped on all this, and are now ripping Kaplan for "Not saying anything different but framing it in a different way" and have used that as a chance to launch into a rant about ... Crane Kenney.

Changing the station.

I'm gonna put an autographed picture of Crane Kenney holding up the world series trophy on my mantle.

Scan that guy before you frame it, I want to send copies of it to Wittenmyer and Sullivan every day for the rest of their lives.

I want to go to the Cubby bear, throw down a few and wait for the presser. This is an awesome day!

A Bloody to start it off.

Although, my place of choice is Murphy's. Cubby Bear is lame.

Murphy's smells like anus.

According to Bruce Levine of ESPNChicago.com, the Cubs and Red Sox are "finalizing a deal" that will make Theo Epstein the next president of baseball operations for Chicago.

The deal should be completed Thursday and announced at a press conference Friday, which is a travel day for the World Series. While the Red Sox are expected to receive minor leaguers as compensation, a source tells Levine that top prospects Brett Jackson, Trey McNutt and Matt Szczur will not be in the deal. The Cubs are expected to name the Padres' Jed Hoyer as general manager within the next few days while former Diamondbacks GM Josh Byrnes will take his place in San Diego.

Wait. So McNutt is part of the deal now?

Oh FFS.

How difficult is it to follow?

The thread moves fast enough and with enough confusion without you being intentionally obtuse. Please stop.
