We're going to beat the Vikings handily Sunday night. Peppers finds his groove, Urlacher another INT. Tillman will cause a timely fumble or two. Happiness!

 

Peppers probably shouldn't even see the field on Sunday. I'd be tempted to let him rest his knee until after the bye week. Last thing we need is his injury getting more serious.

 

I don't think we can afford to lose Sunday, though.

What's the possibility of getting Knox in for more snaps this week instead of Hester. I'm sorta done with the Hester at WR experiment. And that Sanzenbacher is willing to go across the middle is probably partially why Cutler is not in traction in some ICU unit somewhere at this point.

I think the guy hasn't been nearly as good as the hype that surrounded his return, and that was about as bad a game as you can have and still be employeed in the NFL. He was lost and incredibly slow.

Chicago Bears coach Lovie Smith hinted at change after Monday night’s 24-13 loss at Detroit, and it appears the safety position will undergo a major facelift.

 

Veterans Chris Harris and Brandon Meriweather are expected to be benched in favor of Major Wright and rookie Chris Conte for Sunday’s game against the Vikings, according to multiple team sources. Wright and Conte are expected to get the first-team reps at strong and free safety, respectively, during Thursday’s practice.

The word hype doesn't have to mean everybody on the national airwaves is discussing it Favre style.

 

The Chicago media was all giddy about the move. It was played up along with the Peppers/Manumanumanululu/Whoever that RB was trifecta of awesome that came in free agency. There was hype and high hopes, and yet Chris Harris has been nothing special and he was absolutely god awful in the last game.
